I feel bad for Minneapolis. I looked at the Weather Channel and Minny is going to get cold weather all into may of next week. May 3 will be 47 for a high! What kind of fucking spring is that?

Jeez, that is rather fresh for half way through spring, we are heading into winter here and it is still about 16c (60s F) during the day, though once winter hits our average temp during the day is below 10C (40s F). No, Victoria, today is absolutely beautiful here too, but apparently the last warm day for a while, in the last few weeks it has really cooled down, to the point where we woke up to a frost last weekend. I bet we have pretty dissimilar ideas of what cold means.
Yesterday was the first reasonably warm day we’ve had this year, and it may (not 100% sure) have been the first time in about 160 days where the temperature didn’t get below zero once. It worked its way up to 15 or so in the afternoon, so i took the day off and had a nice, long leisurely walk. Spotted my first ants of the year, went to the bookstore and finally used up some Christmas gift cards, then went home and watched an incredibly great/terrible 80s post-apocalypse movie. Good day in my books.

It's beena miserable spring. We got dumped on with buckets of snow on Monday but we finally hit 72 yesterday here. Gorgeous day. We'll make it to 75 today and right now forecasting high of 80 tomorrow.

But yeah, highs in the 40s this week. |
