A sheik announced that a race would decide which of his two sons would inherit all his wealth. The sons were to ride their camels to a certain distant city. The son whose camel reached the city last would be given all the sheik's wealth.
The two sons set out on the journey. After severals days of aimless wandering, they met and agreed to seek the advice of a wiseman. After listening to the wiseman's advice, the two sons rode the camels as quickly as possible to the designated city.
They did not agree to split the wealth, and their father's decree was to be followed.
What advice did the wiseman give the sheik's sons?

it was cool in its day. you may have googled it but: it had chests with riddles that you had to enter to open. One was a varation of the one you posted
"Two brothers wanted to race a course,
To see which had the slowest horse.
Since neither wanted to spur his mare,
What must they do to make it fair?"

assuming the go the same direcection:
at the end of hour 2 Imago is 120 miles behind Fauxie. I (0) F (120)
at the end of hour 3 Imago is 80 miles behind I(100) F (180)
at the end of hour 4 Imago is 40 miles behind I (200) F (240)
and at the end of hour5 Imago catches up.... I (300) F (300)

Just to put it into an equation:
120 + 60X = 100X
120 = 40X
3 = X |

There exists a grassy field that contains no other food.
11 goats could last there for 7 days before they run out of food.
10 goats could last 8 days there.
How long could 3 goats survive there? |

I figure it you gain a day for every goat less
11 - 7
10 - 8
9 - 9
8 - 10
etc.
3 - 15days No More Haters on the Internet. |

i do not think that is correct. if we look at the 10 goats and 8 days. 5 goats would last 16 days. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!" |

that means 1 goat can make it for 11 times longer which is 11x7 = 77 days
so then for 3 goats it would be 77:3 = 25.6666666 days
which renders this information...
10 goats could last 8 days there.
...redundant
and false...? 77:10 = 7.7 and not 8
but all of that only if the grass does not re-grow......? If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans. |

On that is it! grass grows! lalala. i was assumuing that the last day would not be a full day's worth of food. If the grass grows and 11 depet it in 7 days... 11 goats.... 77 days worth of goat food in 7 days...but in 8 days 80 goats worth of food.... that is 3 more for one more day....so the grass grows at a rate of 3 goat's worth per day.
so 3 goats would eat forever? "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!" |

It probably would, if only you gave it a chance, Mr.Smoketoomuch.

Make a youtube video like the national spelling bee (meaning, pronunciation, alternate pronunciations if they exist, and in a sentence) and have people post their answers here. I suppose people could still cheat and look up the words online, but that's all I could come up with. |

Yes, that's it. On day 7 there's 77 goat days of food, and on day 8 there's 80 goat days of food, so the field is producing 3 goat days of food daily, allowing three goats to eat forever.
