My friend told me her father, who was a county psychologist, saw a patient who was saying he heard voices in his head. Turned out it was maggots in his ear.
My brother is a psychologist for the CA state women's prison, and he's seen cases of maggots in the ear too.
I'm not too shocked anymore. But the photo of maggots are really gross. Reminds me of when I had a big party at my house, a couple of days later we found a plate of leftover food including some small piece of fish in our garage left on a shelf by a party guest, it was full of squirming maggots and... YUCK!

Also, one time when I was young I remember my mom caught a large fly buzzing about in the house, and when she picked it up/ squeezed it with a tissue to throw it away (it was swatted and presumed dead), a bunch of maggots squeezed out of it. She screamed and tossed/dropped it immediately. Yeah, it was... YUCK!

Ewww. I remember once a long time ago (I was still quite young), there was a dead animal in my backyard. I poked it with a stick, and a whole bunch of maggots started coming out. omfg I remember screaming and running away, like someone was going to kill me. lol It was pretty disgusting. ill

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

We lived near a small lake and there where a lot of insects buzzin' about. One day i was sitting in my room and a fly flew in. I got my bug spray and when it landed a whole lot of maggots came out. It was pleasure to spray them all.

There is a hill behind my house and my neighbors cats like to go up on

the hill and hunt mice. During the summer i had just came back home

from visiting my mom for the weekend and i took out the trash and looked

beside my garden and their were a bunch of maggots on the ground just

crawling and then i went over to look their was a long tail and i saw the maggots

were eating the flesh of a rat. I was like damn that is the most disgusting thing

i ever saw.

Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

maggots are our friends! they shift shit FAST. they would have done the old dear a favour.. she don't need her hearing aid now

in fact i work with drs who use maggots to treat dirty wounds

don't 4get maggots/flys have quick life cycle, eggs hatch within a day of being laid so as gross as it all is, stories like this are not that rare.

Correct.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
