No crime in beating child molester to death

Wow.......there is some justice.

No crime in beating child molester to death

Authorities say the attack occurred behind this small building in a rural area near Shiner, Texas. (AP)

The law says it’s not always wrong to kill.

In Texas, a grand jury concludes it’s not a crime to beat a man to death if he’s molesting your daughter.

The 23-year-old father, who has not been named to protect his 5-year-old’s identity, said he heard his daughter screaming behind a barn. When he raced to the rescue, he found Jesus Mora Flores, 47, a ranch hand hired to help with the horses, attempting to rape his child.

Using nothing but his fists, the angry father unleashed a furious beatdown. Then the father called 911 and begged for an ambulance to find his rural ranch near the small town of Shiner.

“Come on! This guy is going to die on me!” the man is heard screaming on 911 audio played for the media Tuesday in a press conference called by the Lavaca County district attorney and sheriff.

By the time emergency crews responded, Flores, who was in the U.S. legally, was dead. His pants and underwear were down around his ankles.

Medical tests indicate the girl was molested.

I’m am not one to advocate for violence and I don’t believe anyone “deserves” to die. It’s just not in my beliefs.

That said, with what I’ve read about this case, I also believe the grand jury made the correct decision not to prosecute.

He protected his daughter, called for help immediately and witnesses and evidence corroborated his story.

It’s a tragic event all around, absolutely.

I'm shocked the jury let this man off.

It's Texas. That's why it doesn't shock me.

Only in Texas. It's sad that man died, the father didn't set out to kill, but catching somebody in the act, I can't say I wouldn't have taken a rock to them.

I agree with this

the guy was just protecting his daughter, he probably thought "I must left this pedo unconcious otherwise he could kill me and then rape her", but he didn't control his strenght/fury/fear and the pedo was killed...

I guess knowing that you have killed a man (even a pedo who was ready to rape your daughter) is punishment enough...jailtime? FUCK NO

and I don't feel sorry for the pedo; dying and going somewhere else is the best thing that could have happened to him...

Plus, a dead guy can't sue you for justifiably beating the crap out of him.

Wow, that poor little girl. All my sympathy goes out to her and her father. That man had evil intentions on his brain and would he have regretted hurting a child in the way that he would have had he not been found out? I highly doubt it.

This reminds me a lot for A Time To kill and the discussions i have had with friend's on what to do in a situation. Where your child is being hurt/molested/raped

And if you should take matters into your own hands. I say i honestly have little sympathy for guys or gals that harm a child... someone defensless against you confused

Then again we all know this man was most likely a victim himself at one point. It's all just very fucked up.

Ive never understood this reasoning... you would think the person would remember how it made them feel and vow not to do it to anyone else... How is this justified in their minds???

My dad beat my ass with a belt more than a few times and I swore id NEVER do anything like that to my children, and I NEVER did!! It was an awful thing for a child to go thru, why would I think it was ok to do it to my children??? I dont get it...

I think its a cop out, a way of trying to get out of the sick behaviour... Its an EXCUSE.

In situautions invloving abuse the child usually either believes what the adult did was right or wrong. Very rarely is there an in-between. Luckily you saw what your father did was wrong, some children don't and end up thinking it's acceptable

Not sure how it works, but a young child's mind is still developing. I'm not sure what happens under those circumstances, but I can imagine it has dramatic effects on a child's brain and doesn't always result in someone being anti-child abuse. They seem to understand that other people percieve certain acts as immoral, but that's pretty much where it stops.

Why do some victims become perpetrators, I don't know. Do you?

There's folks who haven't been molested that still molest kids themselves and there's those who have been molested but don't repeat the actions of the molester so that's kind of a moot point to make.
