I saw similar headphones in a store a couple of months ago. They looked absolutely fantastic, but they didn't suffice for what I needed new headphones for (recording, mixing and especially mastering). But whenever I have some spare money, I'll make sure to look them up, 'cause they sure look ace, man! biggrin

Even if they don't work........I love the look. If they don't meet my standards in the studio, I'll change the drivers myself.

You think with headphones that are said to be "vintage", you think they had a device to make them work in 2012.

U cant really change the physical dynamics o how something was built 30/40 years ago. The sounds range in 2012 music a different that it was then, specially in the bass range.

Hmm. I see. But I'm sure someone will have the technology to do that. I think will be cool...

They look cool. I love large old-school headphones in general but I must admit that I prefer to have all the modern features too, like noise-cancellation, talk-through etc. My favourite kind are the ones that encapsulate the entire ears instead of just resting on them. The sound gets better that way and doesn't leak out as much either (I hate it when the person sitting next to me can hear what I'm listening to).

That's why I suggested they try to mix the old with the new... with a few fixes, it COULD work. Nothing's guaranteed though.

Hell, I could go for those because I'm always going through some headphones. Of course, the only reason I use them is for cueing records so a flimsy set of $5 Radio Shack headphones serves my purpose but it still would be great to have a pair where the ear padding isn't going to tear up after a few weeks. I just don't want to spend no big money on something just for cueing because other than that, music was meant to vibrate the floor and shake the walls. In order to shake ass, you gotta feel the music all up underneath you vibrating, pulsating, throbbing, throbbing, throbbing, until you reach that...... lol

Radio shack has all kind of adapters that you can put on the plug to make it fit the hole of a new device.
