Just out of curiousity, what ISP are you switching to?

Phone. I'm not on line that much so I think I will survive. I will pay 20 bucks a month for internet for 5 years. And I can cancel at anytime with no charges to do so. For land phone, internet, & basic cable will cost me less than 60 dollars a month.

confuse "Phone" is what it's called, or you're going back to phoneline internet? lol If you have basic cable I would assume you're getting cable internet, but that price leads me to believe otherwise.

Got it. Yeah, AT&T is one of my other options here, but they have just as many problems (if not more) and worse customer service than Comcast (speaking from my own experience, since my cell phone is with them).

I wont have to deal with ATT&T.My point of change is to reduce monthly costs. If I lived on line, I may not have made the change.

You are asking for trouble when you tie your stuff up to one company. Comcast? Oh, hell no. lol

For the amount of customers they have and the services they provide Comcast is no worse than any other cable company.

Whether Comcast is any worse than other cable companies is beside the point in my opinion. How things are set-up in my area of Michigan; cable, internet, and phone are intertiwined. If you have an issue with one, you have an issue with all three. I've never known Comcast to fix a problem the same day and all of their techs have their expertise. So, they have their protocol and regardless if you know the guy that comes into the house can't help, the have to go through chain of techs every time. lol

I just got uverse with AT&T and love all the channels we get and higher speed internet, we got way less with DirectTV for the price. But AT&T customer service is terrible! had to call them twice last week and hope I never have to call them again! lol

I constantly have issues with mine, is it Comcast? I swear every day at Noon it shuts down like there is a rolling black out in the area

Nah it's Time Warner but I have read how Comcast does that too.

You have my sympathy. I also have Time Warner, and I have had numerous problems with my cable too, that they have not been able to fix. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did at getting the issue resolved.

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

for the longest time the phone/internet company was telling me my connection (which came and went at certain times of day) was bad due to my modem (it wasn't the modem, that works fine) when in fact it was the company itself performing 'updates' at times when it thought no one would notice.

so, i was going to switch to comcast but they needed to drill holes in my exterior and interior walls and i'm just not that into them, so there you have it. i stayed with the lying, techs-from-heck company and here i'm stuck

anyone find a great alternative option post it here please!!!!
