Well it wouldn't matter because Superman's powers don't include removing someone's oxygen from them.

But what does matter is that Hulk's power is pretty much exclusively melee. In a fist fight, who would win? Impossible to know. Neither of them would punch the other so hard they'd be knocked out.

However, Superman *could* use his projectile powers to win the fight. Hulk can't fly. Superman could easily pick him up and drop him from a very high distance and onto some spikes, etc. They're both nigh-invulnerable. Maybe Superman could use his x-ray vision to burn a hole in Hulk's forehead, effectively lobotomizing him.

Superman is supposed to be indestructible, is he not? He's supposedly has a plethora of bad ass powers, right? Superman's weaknesses:

3. Doomsday is the first and only one that actually "killed" Superman without krytonite or magic.

Anyhoo, to answer the OP, I think Superman would win because he has super strength like Hulk but he also has a bunch of other powers too.

It just seems to me that he's a lot stronger than the hulk.

Yet, in Superman 3, it gets hit by some objects and it seems to visibly cause him

a great deal of discomfort if not pain.

The only reason why later cartoons (Superman the Ainmated series) shows Superman wearing a space suit was to sell Superman in space suit action figures, that is the reason why. Other cartoons (and movies) such as the superfriends clearly show superman not wearing a space suit in outer space.

I only consider comics 'canon', not tv cartoons. When DC revamped their titles in 1986(Crisis on Infinite Earths), Supes powers were toned during John Byrne's run. When Byrne left, DC gradually increased Supes powers. But he's not as powerful as he was before '86.

Like the Hulk & Thor, Supes has 'Class 100' strength level.

Let's not forget that Superman doesn't want to kill anybody, just to incapacitate them. Thats why Superman does take a beating now and then. Dr. Banner doesn't want to kill anybody as well but he can't control the Hulk. Superman is always Superman while Hulk is vulnerable when he turns back into Dr. Banner.

Actually Banner does control the Hulk. Without his influence, the Hulk would be totally savage and uncontrollable. In the comics, he only attacked when provoked or when he was separated from Banner.

Not gonna happen since I own all the Kryptonite in the Universe. Just got the last few pieces from Lex Luthor the other day. Any 12 year old with a gun can kill Dr. Banner.
