Me...I remember when I first went to San Francisco and was introduced to Ghirardelli. 'Nuff said!

And also, Purdy's chocolates back in Canada....make fun chocolate treats around the holidays cloud9

What are your favourites? Share and photowhore! biggrin

If you get cravings for chocolate every month, you need a magnesium supplement.

My company gives these out EVERY YEAR for the holidays.

That suffices for my yearly chocolate "fix".

Multis don't have enough. And most people are deficient (because most of our food is grown in magnesium-deficient soil nowadays), so don't feel bad. If you're also constipated, that's a dead giveaway.

400 mg of magnesium/day is a good amount to take. Take it at night - it's a calming mineral.

Let me ask. Are you saying in order to get an sufficient amount of minerals, it should be taken seperately, instead of an multi?

If you show signs of a deficiency - yes. Chocolate cravings and constipation are symptoms of magnesium deficiency. Very few multivitamins have more than 100 mg of magnesium - not enough to deal with a deficiency.

This is not just true of magnesium, either. I had a serious vitamin D deficiency while taking a multi and cod liver oil. In the winter, I take 5000 IU of vitamin D per day - far more than is found in a multivitamin.
