I don't think it is any bigger a story then who Tia Sangria, or whatever her name is, is dating. They have talent where that bisexual ex-friend of Paris Hilton was lacking. Even so their interest to the general public has passed. If you don't have many fans under 35 you are pretty much passe.

I actually don't think whether or not they date has anything to do with their careers now or then. That's corny and something unique to this generation.

At this age, and stage of the game, the people who are old age stand-by fans of Braxton's music or Murphy's acting will support their product output regardless of who they date is it's good. People of a certain age or those with kids will likely continue supporting his forays into family films; similarly, people who like grown folks' style romantic r&b music will likely still support Toni- because that's just the music they want to bump in their cars to kick back and relax.

These are two people who work in artistic genres that don't really depend on the public caring about who they date. All they need to do is deliver quality product, and the people who knew and supported them before the Beverly Hills Cops and Unbreak My Hearts check likely them out, and likely read them and let them know if they think they faltered.

Actor/Comedian Eddie Murphy hit the Laker’s game solo the other night and apparently he wants to make a point.

As you know, the net was buzzing last week aboutMurphy and Toni Braxton�...ng romance but Eddie’s decided not to play that game and has put an end to the speculation.

Details below…According to The NYPost, Murphy says he’s still single and he stresses that he and Toni are ‘just friends’.

Eddie Murphy has denied reports that he is dating “Another Sad Love Song” singer Toni Braxton.

When asked if he had a new paramour, Murphy told “Access Hollywood” in an interview last night, “I don’t even know who the new love is. I know I’m single and I’m just up at the house, playing the guitar and being a single dad.”

When asked specifically about reports that he and Braxton were “getting very serious,” Murphy said the rumors aren’t true.

“Toni and I are just friends,” Murphy claimed. “I went to her show, and we’re friends and she’s a very, very sweet girl, but we’re just friends.”

Is it me or did he say ‘friends’ an awful lot in that statement. Did Murphy Want a ‘Fling” while Braxton was seeking a ‘Soulmate”?

While it’s never a good thing for the man you’ve been canoodling with to deny you’re his boo, fortunately for Toni, it bought her a wee bit of publicity.

At least Johnny Gil can sleep easier now…
