The 'Thrilla in Manila' was the greatest fight I've ever seen in my lifetime. Even though Ali is one of my sports heroes, I always respected Joe Frazier.

Your presence will be missed.”—tennis star Serena Williams, posted to her Twitter account. “Joe Frazier should be remembered as one of the greatest fighters of all time and a real man. He’s a guy that stood up for himself. He didn’t compromise and always gave 100 percent in the ring. There was never a fight in the ring where Joe didn’t give 100 percent.”—Arum. “There’s no way in the world you should come to Philadelphia and not recognize who Joe Frazier is. It’s the perfect time to build the biggest statue in appreciation for all the heart and love he gave to Philadelphia. It’s just to say how we regret when it’s not there to touch and see. We didn’t realize we had a super special person amongst us that we all in a way took for granted. I said this when he was living, I say this now. That’s the only thing.”—Hopkins. ******* a great sports icon. he will always be respected in sports history as a brave contender and chammpion. my to his family, loved ones, friends and admirers. “Transracial is a term that has long since been defined as the adoption of a child that is of a different race than the adoptive parents,” : https://thinkprogress.org...fb6e18544a

One day, I saw a documentary on Joe Frazier. His family claims that he never got over that loss in the "Thriller in Manila' fight. He probably made peace with it, before he died. Who knows? I love Ali, too but my parents one time said that Frazier was a more powerful hitter.

BOTH men should have retired after that last fight. It was nearly 130 degrees in the ring! How they made it through I'll never know.

Was that the documentary about Joe Frazier which lead up to the "Thriller in Manila"? I don't think Mr. Frazier ever got over Ali talking against him and about him. Frazier worked tirelessly to get the banned lifted against Ali after he refused to go to Vietnam; only to have Ali stab him in the back. From my families point of view, they'd hoped and prayed Frazier would win that fight, kick Ali's ass.
