Fall Fragrances!!! I need some ideas for a new scent. I use Amarni Code, Jil Sander (original-hard as hell to find ) and Revealed by Elizabet Arden... orientals and spicy fragrances with notes of orange work really well on my chemistry.
Lighter scented things that are "woodsy" or fruity like Dolce's Light Blue smells like rotten fruit on me and doesn't do well on my chemistry.. Angel smells like piss on me.
So tell me what you like to wear! I need to know what scents what perfumes have (notes on the fragrances) so I can know what to look for or avoid.

Is Calvin Klein Euphoria too heavy? Or perhaps Black Orchid by Tom Ford?
Also, if Angel doesn't smell right on you, try Alien (also Thierry Mugler) might work out better. [Edited 8/28/11 15:05pm] Everything old is new again...

Alien smells like crap on me too. I love the way her fragrances smell... on other people.
I haven't smelled Black Orchid... what are the fragrance notes on that? Is it flowery?
Euphoria might smell nice on me.
What perfumes/scents do you like?

I'm allergic to parfume and other fragrances stuf.
So, I just have antibacterial deo and my pheromones to work with.
However, If I could, I woul use Carolina Herrera. I love that on men too! 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I smelled that one....the men's fragrance is nice!

Black orchid obviously has a floral component, but the base and mid notes are citrus and wood, so the overal impression isn't that chalky powedery girlishness that makes me gag at most floral scents. Its a sexy grown ass woman smell, more sophisticated than sweet. Everything old is new again...

Victorias Secret has some good ones- Almost every scent I've had from there I get compliments on.

My favorite perfumes
ACQUA DI GIOIA This is my signature scent. This can go all year round. It smells really fresh and clean like a sea breeze but at the same time has hints of some flowery scents at the same time. It's my all time favorite perfume; it's my perfect scent. [img:$uid]http://fimgs.net/images/perfume/nd.8442.jpg[/img:$uid]
DUNE I absolutely love this. Second favorite! I think it kind of goes well with the acqua di gioia one. It's spicy and woody but at the same time, for some reason, it's kind of fresh too. Very cool. OPIUM I use this RARELY but I absolutely love it. It's really strong, it's a very old scent but it's genius. I smell so good in it. It's like spicy and kind of oriental. [img:$uid]http://www.99perfume.com/image/OP158.jpg[/img:$uid]
MISS DIOR CHÉRIE This one is really girly, sweet and charming. And romantic too. I think this can go for any season, but if I were to guess, I think spring would be 'the' season for it. But again, it can work whenever imo. It's kind of flowery and fruity at the same time. This was my very first serious perfume. It's hard to find in my area though. I thought they had stopped making it. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Wow! Light Blue and Angel are my two faves right now. I need to pray on this. [Edited 8/29/11 4:43am] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I Know right??
Some of the nicest fragrances smell like s#!t on me! Its just not fair!

I can't do citrusy, fruity scents at all. They smell so awful on me I tend to stick to things with notes of vanilla, amber, musk, sandalwood, and bergamot For fall I like Sensual Amber, Dark Kiss, and Twilight Woods, which are from Bath and Body Works. I also like Marc Jacobs Lola, YSL Parisienne, and Classique by Jean Paul Gaultier

Hey, did you know that bergamot is a citrus fragrance? I was surprised to learn that. [Edited 8/29/11 7:29am] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I did not know that! I was thinking more of things like Clinique Happy. Those light, kind of grapefruit or orange kind of scents are really terrible on my skin

bergamont and bitter orange smells divine on me... those mixed into a fragrance makes it cancel out the bad effects of the woodsy components in perfumes.
Looks like me and L&T are fragrance opposites.

Happy smells good on me... it smelled better on my sister and I gave it to her.... well she actually took it. But it smelled so nice on her.

I sure hope not! I found the box of perfume in some bax that I was looking through when we moved into the house. I randomly found it, it was unused, and I love it . Still have the first one, I don't use it too much. But I absolutely love it and I would be really dissapointed if they stopped making it .

though I can't give and recos, because I'm a man, I can give my opinion on the scents aimed at both men and women (CK One and the like).
Personally, I can't wait for them to go completely out of style (which they're very close to doing). Either go strong or light, but the middle ground is neither IMO. They scream, er, reek of boredom.

Yeah... I am sorta sick of the stuff I have been wearing even though I love the scents.
Jimmy Choo's new perfume did that to me... it started off nice then just wore off... blah.

I haven't bought a new scent in years. I'm not really trying to attract anyone, lol.
This is my favorite strong scent:
and this is my fave light one, though I think it's discontinued.

I HATE when they discontinue a fragrance! They did that with the original Jil Sander... I don't think I'll find another bottle.

Is that your signature scent? Do you switch up? [Edited 8/29/11 13:05pm]

I know. Davidoff Relax and Guess' first men's cologne went the way of the Dodo bird and I miss them.

I love that stuff. Haven't seen it in a while, though. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
