Microsoft Word knowledgable people...

Any good microsoft word savy people on here?

I've scanned a document into word and trying to figure a way to copy and paste information into another word page to add, edit, delete items in the document. But when you click say to copy information it view as a still page/ pic where it want let you copy it.

If I understand you, this is a scanned document, like maybe a PDF?

I think you need some kind of word recognition software that can translate words in a picture (which is what a scan is) into text. I don't think Word will do that.

No. Word can't do that, unfortunately.

Yea, it was a sheet of paper with text that was scanned and saved in word but like you all say I guess there is no way to get the text in another word doc to be able to edit the text. Thanks for the advice anyway.

Found out had the software after all to convert document to text.

You need to configure your scanner for OCR text. HP printers can do this, and I believe Lexmark can too.

It's not MS-word that's the problem, it's the method of scanning. Most people scan their docs as images (ping, jpeg, etc.).
