Jermaine Jackson reveals escape plan for Michael
Interesting. Seems Jemaine is talking a bit 2 much. Why bring this up?
The Associated Press LONDON — Jermaine Jackson says his family had secretly arranged to fly Michael to Bahrain if the pop icon was found guilty of child molestation.
Jermaine was quoted as telling The Times magazine out Saturday that a private jet financed by a friend was on standby to whisk his late brother to the Gulf emirate if the 2005 court case ended with a conviction. Bahrain does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S. Jermaine says his brother did not know about the escape plan but Michael would have "done it in a heartbeat" because "why should he go to jail for something he didn't do?"

Makes sense, how can the leeches feed if their cash cow is behind bars. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

If he had been found guilty, wouldn't he have been taken directly into custody? I'm firmly planted in denial

Mmm... interesting. And why bring this up now?..

Good question, and I'm not a legal expert so I'm only surmising here...
I think its possible - partially, at least, because of who he was, even though it would never be stated that way - that he could have been allowed to stay out until sentencing or the appeal process had taken their course. I know other people have left the country during that time period. Somebody with more legal knowledge can probably answer that factually. There's a few of them here.

....which of course means they probably thought there was a chance he would be found guilty.
That fucked up family. | |

well with that awful DA, they were trying to prepare themselves for the worst even if they believed his innocence
but to the average person who knows nothing about him and this case, it really makes him look bad and I wish Jermaine had just shut up. I'm really despising this family of michael's more with time. [Edited 9/12/11 0:02am]

I think there is no possible way a person with as much money and fame as MJ could possibly be found guilty if he were innocent.
I don't think it makes Jermaine look that bad. I mean, Cindy Anthony lied on the stand for a murdering pyschopath of a duaghter, when we all know damned well Casey killed Caley.
I think it would be perfectly normal for a family to try and save their brother, sister, or son/daughter regardless of the crimes they committed. It's your family and no matter how fucked up the family is, they will try to do this. What Jermaine did made him look more-or-less like a brother. One with a big fucking mouth, but still a brother none-the-less.
I do think that it shows there was doubt in the family's mind to MJ's innocense. If they were absolutely sure he was innocent, regardless of the 'evil DA', I don't think such a plan would have crossed their mind. They'd be aiding a convicted fellon at that point, which is perferctly understanding considering they're family, but awefully stupid considering how famous this family is.
I personally don't think MJ was guilty in the sense that alot of evidence could be presented. The family was obviously a gold-digging family, but a 40+ year old man lying in bed with someone else's kids after he had already been accused of molesting a boy....that's fucking loopy! It would have been perfectly reasonable to think his own family had doubts about him regardless of what they publically stated at the time.
I know if you brother was sleeping in bed with children and had bought a set of white children to be father too, all sorts of sirens would be going off in my own mind. I also know that if he were thrown in jail I would be destraught enough to still try and help him.

Wasn't that just a 80's phase though? I thought he'd dried out a bit recently.
I still crack up he named a child Jermagisty.

I'll just ignore the stuff about "white children" and cut to the chase. I could see he wanted to help his brother cause of knowing he didn't do it, but though I know Martin Bashir screwed him over in that interview, I was also annoyed he made it SO easy to be criticized, if not accused again for the whole bed sharing thing. Of course I don't believe he did it either and get mad and defend him if people suggest he did it, but it's gotten painful over time and he DID make it easy for people to believe he did something, even if it's their own perverted way of thinking. I know it's okay in some cultures to be sharing a room or bed, I slept with adults too for many years in my life as a kid and sometimes later on so I get it, but HE WAS ACCUSED ALREADY, though I know we can't turn back time and he learned his lesson the hard way [Edited 9/12/11 4:53am]
