Ah ah lol This made me laugh, but it's so true! Same thing here in Cambridge, MA, some sidewalks look like they have been bombed/shelled, and my seat at my desk shakes under me whenever a heavy van passes by my street! lol

Crap. Boston's on a damn faultline.

I felt nada, but the street in my neighborhood are hollow and things rumble when heavy trucks or transit buses drive by two blocks away.

There are 3 sink holes that are growing also.... they are small but I thought it was from all the rain and snow.

Cambridge is like that too nod Central Square and the surrounding areas especially when the trains rumble in... you can feel them under your feet on the sidewalks.

I was being sarcastic while also joking about the inevitable "That's nothing!" comments you'll likely see not just here, but anywhere the story is posted, presumably by those that have lived on the West Coast. For example the comments at CNN.com

http://www.cnn.com/2011/U...nia.quake/

Somehow I doubt an F1 tornado hitting Hollywood is met with a bunch of Californians going "Oh well you know what...this ain't shit compared to what the Midwest gets."

Apparently the quake could be felt as far north as Montreal. I felt nothing here in Toronto, but my wife says she felt it.

I live in Fredericksburg, VA, about 15 minutes from the epicenter. My wife and I were in Target when it hit...that was weird!!! The floor started shaking, and crap started falling off of all the

shelves==everybody ran from the aisles to the open parts of the store--then it stopped, and everybody was standing still, staring at the ceiling, like, "WTF was that!!!???!!!!"

I did too, but then why would a big truck shake the 9th floor of a building that has 24 floors?? eek eek eek Then the building started swaying back and forth....scared the bejesus out of me. The people in my department panicked and ran and I mean RAN for the stairwell to get out of the building yelling "GET OUTTTT GET OUUTTTTTT!!!!" Me? I was in denial..."no way that was an earthquake, we're in Richmond, VA for goodness sakes..nothing really happens here but hurricanes and ice storms"....well I stand corrected, it was. The best part was that they let us go home for the rest of the day. cool

I did feel one aftershock about 8pm at home and again was in denial..."was it that again? ohgoon" Looked on the news and I had mud on my face again. It's definitely the signs of the times. nod
