Sometimes I thought these two were trying way too hard to look like they could not keep their hands off one another. Like that tongue thing they did in public. It seemed more like acting then some of the actual acting that they did in movies/tv.

I'm not one to judge actions of Hollywood couples but I won't say that this is totally wrong because it DOES happen so I wouldn't be surprised. Things are not always what they seem and this IS Hollywood...

I won't go as far as to say she was a "beard" but the spark didn't seem real and therefor the PDA's had to be there to say what their eyes didn't.

okay, now i remember hearing about this back in 2008 about will and jada and their expressing their feelins re: their "open marriage." so i researched and found the following.

Will Smith Admits to Open Marriage

Atlanta, GA 7/10/2008 10:05 PM GMT (TransWorldNews)

Will Smith admitted Thursday that the key to his successful relationship with wife Jada Pinkett-Smith is having an open marriage, according to UK's Now Magazine.

In an interview with Now Magazine, Smith, 39, said the secret to their successful marriage is a healthy and open sex life. "Lots of sex. All the time, every day. Just lots of sex keeps me going good!" Smith said.

"I was very interested that first night, but I was in a bizarre mental space," said Smith. "Three months into it, we were at her mom's house and it just hit me. I looked at her and just knew this was it."

Smith said that honesty is the foundation of their 11-year marriage. He said that it is "healthy" to be attracted to other people and is okay telling his wife so. "Our perspective is, you don’t avoid what's natural and you’re going to be attracted to people," said Smith. "So sometimes we have the discussion: 'Wow, this or that girl is freaking gorgeous.' I'm not going to say anything to my buddies that's any different than what I say to my wife"

Smith said that they have yet to have lovers outside of the marriage, but the couple would tell each other if the situation arises. He said that if the situation would arise, they would say to each other, "I’m not going to do it if you don’t approve of it."

"I don't know how I'd feel [if she said she had feelings for another person]. But I know I would react better than if I found out about it afterwards," said Smith.

The couple has two children together: son Jayden, 10, and daughter Willow, 8. Smith also has another son, Willard, 15, from his first marriage.

i myself believe in freedom in a relationship. i mean the kind of freedom to talk with my man about another man that i might find fine or attractive. however he knows i'm happy at home so he's had no need to worry. i mean he's also my best friend, and we tell each other pretty much everything. he comes to me if he's in the same when he's in a similiar mode. i must admit lots of women have approached him over the years, but so far i'm still his woman of choice. we also agreed at the beginning of our relationship that if we find someone strong enough to pull either of us away, we'd be the first to know prior to the move. i have to the have freedom to be me.

so as far as Jada and Will go, i respect their need to be true to themselves and not hide behind being afraid to express their feelings with honesty to each other.

however, i still and so hope the best for Mr and Mrs Smith in that their love stays strong and together within their future as husband and wife. i admire them so much!

The title is misleading. I don't think just looking at other women openly constitutes an open marriage. Tons of couples are open about what other people they find attractive. I remember Will saying that "divorce was not an option" so I think it would have to be something very major to break them apart, not just an affair. More like if one of them actually set up house with someone else.

I don't think she's a "beard" either. Straight couples in Hollywood definitely overplay that love card.

I have a memory that stands out about this. I don't watch TV much and I was over my mom's in the 80's I think. Mary Hart was interviewing this couple, Alan Thick and Gloria Loring I think were their names. Anyway they were literally in front of the fireplace on a blanket and one was playing acoustic guitar while the other was singing a love song. Mary asked the couple what was their secret to being such an enviably happy couple. Please tell!!! It was beyond sappy and less than 2 years later they were divorced. Personally I do not think it is wise to use your marriage for publicity. It seems to backfire more often than not.

And unfortunately gay couples fair no better. Melissa Ethridge needs to learn this.

falloff It's not like he's Will Smith the valet. Dude had options. Better options than Jada. I like her and all but that just always seemed like an odd coupling to me.

Will and Marc were just in the luxury box together (with Dwayne Wade) at the Dolphins game. That'd be interesting if there were any truth to Jada banging Marc.

Perhaps it (the alleged affair between Jada and Marc) is either a publicity stunt or a cae of revenge fuck.

No. If a person asks you what "gullible" and "star struck" means then by all means send them to this thread. Hell, tell them any thread on the org will do.
