I think the madness that has been going on the past week and come to a head today was a good "release" for a bunch of folk.

Even the throwing shade at one another via other threads rather than directly has been entertaining (oh come on u know who u be, a bunch of us have been doing it) but like all good things...it's run its course today.

I never had issues with you in the past, and have actually defended you in private to folk during all the dumb bickering that rises from different heated threads because I always felt like you were one of those people who was mature enough to be friends with folk who don't necessarily get along and I know from personal experience that can get tricky so I totally respected that. I'm not angry, painted. I'm frustrated at folk sense of self-importance. I'm frustrated at folk playing the game that they can post all kinds of jabs under the guise of "celebrating themselves".

Well, I was frustrated. Like I said, this week was a good release for a bunch of folk, who actually cared to laugh about the foolishness of it all and didn't feel the need to then run around like chickens with their heads cut off (hilariously entertaining as it has been) declaring how bad ass and cool they are because of it.

I understand that you want to defend a friend. But I, for one, was not attacking her with my White Dudes thread (from which the rest of the parodies seemed to spill and folk seemed to get the sillyness of it) I was clear about what the thread was.

I don't think HG or SCNDLS or anyone saying black men are hot or their preference is racist or against anyone else. Or that a thread in celebration of anything, for that matter, is dismissive of anything else. Celebrating ourselves is a great thing. Shit, how many Gay threads do we post in here? A lot.

Did I think there was a bit of a bigger picture going on? There's been other threads that seem big-time bait (which I realize I have the choice of ignoring, but alas I don't always, guilty ).
I posted on her black men thread also (tho photobucket deleted my pic because of ass ). Aside from not always agreeing I've no real issues with her so I wouldn't have reason or desire to "attack" her. I'm sure sometimes I quote stuff she posts and she's like WTF? You know why that is? Because when I read something that makes me laugh, I forget/don't care who posts it or if we've had differences. If shit is funny, I react.

There's been appreciation of Asians, Black, Hispanic, Big Ass, Bit Tit, this and that and it just struck me funny (as in ha ha funny, not anything deep or thought-requiring) that you never see an "White men are so hot" type thread. The closest I think I remember was a dude posting about how he loved white girls and if memory serves me well he caught hell cause he was black.

Anyway, how folk go and turn that into folk are coming for them I don't know. But OK.
