Pulp Fiction is told in pieces that are out of order, it would therefore never make sense to watch it in pieces. It definitely needs to be watched from beginning to end.

I agree with Ren, though - Reservoir Dogs is my favorite QT movie.

I started to watch this movie in pieces and was not really getting into it, my daughter who recommended it, told me I had to sit there and just watch it! I finally did and really enjoyed it

I love the flick, but it is overrated. I was amazed by it in 05 when i was in 8th grade, it's sharply written and directed. But it's not like one of the most amazeball movies i have ever seen by nay means lol.

Besides jackie Brown is my fav Tarantino flick.

Reservoir Dogs is my favorite Tarantino movie. Pulp Fiction is good, if a little overrated. It shouldn't have lost that Oscar for Best Picture to Forrest Gump.

It should've lost it to The Shawshank Redemption, of course.

Pulp Fiction is a classic (IMO) because the timeline of all 4 segments were out of order. This filmmaking gimmick made Quinton a freaking genius.

I don't know what "it's a guy's movie" is supposed to mean...

But Pulp Fiction is an amazing movie. People like it for different reasons. It's one of those films that can come across as scattered and confusing to some people, but it actually works perfectly well in its own context which is why its audience is so varied.

Incredible movie.

The defining cinematic work of Postmodernism imo. Its use of devices such as flashback, flashforward and intertextual allusion were pretty sweet for a film in the mainstream of popular culture.

Jackie Brown was a step down if still very watchable, but I've never been able to sit through more the 30 minutes of any later Tarantino.

Never seen it. Hope to though as I like Russell Crowe, or I did before I saw Robin Hood.

He's very good in L.A. Confidential.

I haven't seen LA Confidential since it was released, but I remember it being excellent.

Isn't "LA Confidential" a much more old fashioned formal period piece with a linear police murder mystery plot? Completely different kind of film? I liked LA Confidential a lot, but it's a whole different thing. One movie is like having lunch high on weed at a Subway with intellectual violence-repressed overgrown movie nerds, and the other is like having a dinner with a rich grandma in her upscale 1940's bungalow home, a grandma that used to be a "modern woman" who divorced her husband.
