PunkMistress is asking for help from our group of online friends and family. For those that do not know, Erin has a rare genetic disorder named Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is a connective tissue disorder. In short, her body does not produce collagen effectively. This in turn creates a number of health problems, the most prominent one being chronic fatigue and pain. There is no cure.

As the effects of her disorder increase, we have struggled to accept the fact that she needs some mobility assistance. Moving around is a tremendous drain on her already limited energy and mobility and frequently the only reason she can not continue to perform normal everyday tasks like shopping, working and cooking. A manual wheelchair requires to much exertion on her arms and cardiovascular system to be an option.

She has set up a donation page to assist us in raising the funds needed to purchase a power wheelchair. We are a family of 6 and we all know how willing health insurance is to provide actual help to those in need. Purchasing this will provide her with the mobility she needs to continue being the funny, strong and positive wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, etc. she is to everyone in her life. No amount is too little.

She's even promised to send baked treats to those that donate $25 or more!

Do something good and it will come back to you in the future!

Wishing you guys all the best, you are a true inspiration . Money is really tight right now, I just had to pay 750 UDS to get my heating system repaired otherwise the government would have not allowed me to use it anymore . And had to lend my boyfriend money to pay for the lawyer we had in the custody case for his children and we had to stop it just now because we cannot afford to pay for it to go further even though that could mean he might not see his children now for a long. And I hope I can fly to see my bf again in the fall, I did not see him since December. But I will calculate what I can do maybe a little later. And I still hope somebody who will very likely read or hear about this will pay me back money he owes me that I would really need, although that probably won't happen .

We have exceeded our original goal of $1700.

Erin has bumped the goal up to $2000 to allow us to buy a newer chair (we are buying used as new ones run into the tens of thousands of dollars, wtf) and pay for the fitting of it and the fee for the website. We truly never thought we would get this much help and originally just wanted to ask for the bare minimum to purchase the cheapest chair that includes the options she needs.

I never knew people could be so giving.
