I hope they at least do a little memorial montage for him at the beginning of Smackdown tonight. There should've been enough lead time to slap something together.

They for damn sure should do it for the upcoming PPV this Sunday AND do a 10-time ring-the-bell salute at the beginning!! McMahon better forget about him fuckin' Stephanie or whatever it was that got him blacklisted from the company! This guy is indeed a TRUE legend! sad

i tried catching the beginning of smack down but by the time i turned 2 it the logo of WWE was fadiong out so i don't know if they did or not. it would be cool at the beginning of the PPV on sunday but more than anything it might be until mondy night raw.

not many know also that in the first spiderman movie, randy is the wrestler peter parker faces b4 uncle ben gets shot.

2 this day one of macho man's best lines 4 me "oooh yeah i see the lust in ur eyes for elizabeth!"

RIP Macho Man

They didn't, Smackdown was taped on Tuesday Night and I think it would've been too difficult to edit something for him in time for the show. He passed away in the afternoon.

I'd expect the WWE to pay tribute to him on the Pay Per View Sunday and Raw the next night.

Anyway, Randy was one of the greatest performers of all-time. He had as much to do with the big wrestling boom of the 80's as just about anyone.

It's so sad because he seemed to really happy and content recently. I got married last year, he started working with the WWE again on his Action Figure, he was doing voice work.

Macho Man was more than just a wrestler, he was an icon. Who didn't do a Macho Man impression back in the day???

Before Shawn Michaels became Mr. Wrestlemania, Randy Savage was the one consistently having the best matches on the card and the best performances.

He should have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame years ago, and it's a damn shame that the WWE waited so long, and now he'll only be inducted posthumously.

I was in the front row for that match. Me and my boy Johnnie drove up to Huntington Beach from San Diego...got there at 4am...it was free...first come, first serve. The ring and everything was already set up and we parked our asses at ringside and did not move...actually fell asleep seeing as the card didnt start unitl like 3 or 4 in the afternoon.

My fav Macho match I saw live was in his WWF days. When he was champ he defended the title in a steel cage match against Bad News Brown at the San Diego Sports Arena. Brown was going to win...on his way out the cage door...then Elizabeth took off her high heel and cracked Brown in the face, knocking him back into the cage. Savage took control, dropped an elbow FROM THE TOP OF THE CAGE (OOOOOHHHHHH YEEEEAAAAAHHH!!!!!) and exited for the win.

Also saw him defend against Andre the Giant, Ted DiBiase, One Man Gang...the worst was seeing him job to Hogan after they split and Hogan regained the title.

Still cant believe he's gone. cry

End of an era. Aside from Hulk Hogan, I can't think of any other wrestler that epitomized WWF in the 80's more than The Macho Man. So many of my favorite wrestlers have all died so young!

Rest peacefully Macho Man Randy Savage.

58 is a pretty long life by WWF standards. So many of those guys died in their 40's sad . Just watched the video that Hulk Hogan posted on FB & Twitter speaking on Randy's death. Hogan looks like he's aged about 10 years in this past year alone, and he's a year younger than The Macho Man. He seems to be taking Randy's death pretty hard. The TIMES those two must have had!

I was going to say this was the first time I saw his eyes, but he must have wrestled without his eyewear I just didn't pay attention. And wow, he looks totally different. He looks like a biker here.

It's STILL TOO early. sad Hell dying at 60 would've been too early. Besides from Mae Young and Moolah and probably Sargeant Slaughter (correct me if I'm wrong about him), I've haven't seen a famous wrestler live past 60 and avoid the curse of early deaths like other wrestlers have.

As for Hogan, I'm sure he had LOT to reflect considering he acted a jackass towards Randy for unknown reasons. Hogan said they patched things up just prior to Randy's death though.

Oh I agree, he died much too young. I'm really sad about it. We have such a short time here on earth to make our mark. That's why I try to treat each contact I have with people on a daily basis as if it's the last time I'll ever see or speak to that person again.

One of the things I admired about MJ is that he said "I love you" to people so often, that when people who knew him personally were asked "What's the last thing Michael said to you?", most people say it was "I love you". That's how I want to be remembered!

Apparently Randy Savage managed his money well, and was content with staying out of the spotlight. Assuming this picture with his wife is recent, he apparently also took very good care of himself.

Nevertheless, I'm sad to learn of his passing. I really like him a lot.

That's gotta suck. I've had several friends to pass away while we were in a period of 'not speaking' to one another. That's the worst pain ever. Though as you mentioned, at least they had patched things up. Wish I had done the same with those friends I've lost.

I was just watching a WWE show called "The Greatest Stars of the 90s" and they showed footage of Hogan from 1995-96 and he looked pretty old then, then you'd see the recent commentary footage of him (which is from about 2005) and that was a big change

Hogan's had a couple of back surgeries this past year

Oh yeah, I think a LOT of people know and recognized Savage as Bonesaw McGraw. "Bonesaw's ready!!" Lol!

And, sadly, they did not do any type of salute or acknowledgement before Smackdown. They just HAVE to do something on Sunday and/or Monday. Not everyone is watching or buying the PPV, so they should do it for that crowd, but also do it for the Raw crowd, which includes everybody!

Well, I'd say worse. By 2005, Hogan was starting to really look worse for wear. He had braces on both knees, the muscles was becoming flab......

One thing I definitely commend Randy for, with the exception of maybe 3 appearances over the past 10 years, he stayed away from the wrestling business. Alot of guys retire, but end up coming back because they don't know how to handle their cash or they can't handle being out of the spotlight (Ric Flair, Hogan, I'm looking at yall!)

I could see why there wasn't anything on Smackdown because it was taped on Tuesday. Randy passed away in the afternoon, so I don't think they would've had time to edit an acknowledgement into the show.

I definitely hope they pay tribute to him on Sunday for the Pay Per View or Monday for Raw. He deserves not just a ten bell salute, not just a quick video at the beginning, not just a small mention from the announcers. He deserves a full blown Tribute Show on Raw and Smackdown.

They can show Randy's greatest matches and moments. Have the superstars give their thoughts about how Savage influenced them in the business.

He deserves a celebration befitting one of the biggest and best icons in the history of the business.
