Do you sing and/or play instruments?

What Musical Experience do you have? Did/Do you sing and or play instruments?

I took vocal classes in Junior high. In college I sang in the chorus and took more voice lessons. I am an alto. I sing soprano sometimes(not my favorite). When I have time, I sing with the chorus at the college I attended. I play piano and guitar a little. I sing and play instruments for fun. I will take additional voice lessons. I am my worst critic. I am an average singer. Being a Capricorn, I want to be better. I do not really have the time to practice guitar and keyboard. I started to learn to play instruments when I was in my 20's. Hopefully, I will master them to my standards in the future. I am happy that I can read music. I have to practice playing by ear more. I do not have the patience to learn ALL of the guitar chords. I just play the notes and scales.

Who remembers singing "Caro Mio Ben" for voice class or chorus? One semester, I sang "Habanera" from Carmen. I do not like opera. I sang it anyway, in english not french. That was fun.

What song(s) did you like or hate to sing or play for class/chorus?

Can't sing a lick. I've played the soprano, alto saxophone, alto & bass flute for 35 years. I've played the acoustic guitar (steel & nylon) for 12 years and recently picked up the harmonica, I'm teaching myself how to play.

Yes, I sing pretty ok and I can play drums, piano and guitar....problem is (unlike all my brothers) I never practiced so it's pretty basic playing.

Definitely. I have a great voice when I sing in my car, but I can only do it when I'm alone so nobody gets to hear it. lol

And I used to play piano and the sax and the recorder (everybody plays the recorder in 3rd grade), but I only play at a basic level.

time flies.

I used to sing in high school and college (stage musicals). I haven't done it properly in decades so at this point I'm sure I'm mostly mess, but fuck it, I still sing along.

High school, university and for a few years after grad while I was working, but I've given up. Emotionally, it's all out the window. Took lessons as a kid too.

I play drums [and some other percussion instruments], guitar (quit lessons after 2 years because I hadn't improved much from the first lesson to the last lesson. Solos are too hard), piano/keyboard (just starting to teach myself)

I used to play the recorder (forced by primary school - I'm sure this happened to everyone), violin (forced by music school), flute (quit after less than 6 months)

I used to sing all the time when I was a kid. Then someone whose opinion I found relevant at the time told me I couldn't sing, without even really listening to me. I was 8 years old and I haven't opened my mouth to sing ever since. Nowadays I sing very quietly, when I'm in the mood, and that's very rarely. A friend of mine who is a beautiful singer told me I had a cute voice when she heard me when we had our rehearsals for the prom and that meant a lot to me. I have no singing aspirations anymore, but it was nice to hear it coming from her.

guitar, sing and some piano.
I also get a huge kick out of composing my own stuff. I love words/lyrics. I take breaks when too many demons start knocking. Sometimes I obsess about a composition because too many demons are knocking. I can't really find a balance. Recently I 've been playing a whole lot, my fingertips are in a mess.

I've got a lot songs that I need to record and put behind me.

Recently a my daughter was fooling around and stabbed me in the eye with the corner of a book. I had to take pain killers and wear an eye patch for two days. Icouldn't work much so I wrote a song.

Look...

Don't Let Them See You Cry

If you feel the same I'll come around
T' catch some T.V. or paint the town
And in a while you will feel better

Some people don't watch what they say

And keep a list of your mistakes

Like they're the only things that matter

Welcome to the world of modern thought

It's just as rounded as it is short

I'd pay top dollar just to hear you talk

Life is love and war come n' give it a try
There will be casualties on both sides

Don't ever let them see you cry

Don't let them see you cry

Y'know you're wanted, you are the first
No less than the entire universe

There is no equal under heaven

So where is the harm if you're alright

And if you still have some appetite

And for a smile you'll be forgiven

Hangin' about like a chandelier

The light refracted in my crystal tears

I think I know what I like about you

If you need a hand I'll be glad to oblige
Stiff upper lip with a skip in my stride

As if I've never been refused, or denied

'Never been refused, that's my line

Welcome to the world of modern thought

So damn loud it won't be ignored

I'm writing checks that I cannot afford

Life is love and war come n' give it a try
There will be casualties on both sides

Don't ever let them see you cry

Don't let them see you cry

lol

small circles, big wheels!
I've got a pretty firm grip on the obvious!

Yes and yes. I can sing some and I play guitar (and some keys). Used to do the band thing when I was younger. Haven't touched an instrument in a few years.

I can't sing.

Children of my friends request me not to sing. After uttering two words, they will shout NO, NO, NO.

I played the piano as a kid. When practizing (I was 13), the psychotic neighbour rang the door and pointed a shotgun at me, claiming to shoot me if I would make another sound.

I never played an instrument again.

I can dance. Actually, pretty good (albeit a little stiff nowadays)

I play trumpet. My training has came from middle and high schools.

I can still play my scales forwards and backwards. Also can play a

little piano. Would love to continue playing guitar. I started a few years ago

playing basic guitar but with time constraints i had to put it on the back burner.

Both. I sing and play piano for almost 21 years and harmonica for 13 and compose my own music.
