Whoa! eek

Very sorry to hear about this. How scary!

I'm hoping/assuming the cancer wasn't malignant? No need for radiation treatment or anything, right?

I'll know in 6 weeks if any further treatment is needed. I am crossing my fingers and toes that this was it.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

6 weeks to get the results from the biopsy? That's excruciatingly slow! Psychological torture...

Anyway I think you're chances should be very good. Unless you have a certain type of cancer that runs through your whole family history, it's very unusual that a person your age gets something that is malignant or very hard to treat.

Hang in there and talk to the doctors whenever you get worried or have questions. To just walk around completely alone with these types of worries can be destructive.

If I understand correctly, all cancer is malignant, but what she's saying is she will have to wait 6 weeks to know if the procedure wass successful in removing it all.

Technically yes, but the term "cancer" is usually used for describing benign tumors as well (which I'm hoping is the case here).

No, no....he biopsy was already done in September. This was treatment. NDRU is right. I go back for another exam to see how everything is healing and to see if any further treatment is needed.
