Unfortunately I don't have the time to read a book at the moment but good on you for completing it! Like NDRU said most so-called professional writers talk all their lives about writing a whole novel but never actually do it.
It looks like you have a professional-looking cover designed for it and you obviously have a whole website dedicated to it, so why not sell proper hardcover (or paperback for that matter) versions as well? Those who enjoy the free online version might want to give away an actual physical book as a gift to their friends (perhaps you could include a short story or something as an incentive for those who pay). There are plenty of cheap printing services these days that are prepared to do very limitied editions.
Again, congratulations!
well, it's a give-away to benefit the Animal Humane Society. thanks for your feedback though! appreciate that you took the time!
So give the profits to them then. It's just another way of helping their cause (and a nice bonus for you to be able to say that people have paid for your work).

There are a couple things that you could edit to make it just a bit more perfect, IMO.
I am not suggesting changing the story or re-arranging sections, but there are some simple grammatical & consistency issues that I noticed (some of which may be personal taste) that I could share if you'd like.
i'd love some feedback!
Let me look, I had a couple notes. They came mostly at the beginning and end, as I found myself just enjoying the middle |

Seriously, it's one important issue we agree upon. No plans to have kids |

okay, all right. it's my understanding that publishing inevitably leads to that point where a person finds themselves sitting at a folding table in a bookstore with a line of strangers waiting and staring at one. and, upon reaching that folding table point, a person must smile and smile and smile and greet people with a cheery demeanor and a thank you and answer personal questions and tell people about the how and why of it all and sign books and, well, for crying out loud!!! WHO wants to go there???! who?
besides, writing is for crazy people. = writers. think about it. a writer is a person who spends more time in their own imagination, spends time with made-up people, than they do with, say, their actual spouse or other significant others. a day spent writing is often a day spent in obsessive contemplation of one's own imaginary navel, and the tiny people/characters who live there. a person who spends that much time in their own imagination likely needs therapy at the end of a long writing day.
surely you can see this too???
thank you, that is all |

Wow.
You're making it much more dramatic than it needs to be. There's nothing magical that suddenly happens when you sell physical books instead of give them away online. You won't suddenly become a celebrity and a slave to your creativity just because you try another format! And no, your life won't suddenly implode and make you obsessive, lonely, phony and crazy and all the other stuff you're imagining either. At least no more and no less than you already are. lol
All it'll do to you is give you a bit more administrative work, and hopefully earn you (or the charity of your choice) some money.
But it's up to you of course. Nobody is forcing you to try it.

well, this project began back in mid-July. i spent a couple of weeks plotting it while packing to move, then the actual writing took two months, off and on. it was originally intended to be much longer, and darker. more scenes were to have taken place in sumeria, with a full-scale battle.
but, i had more fun with a comedic bent, so i shortened the war bits right out and poof! quickie |

Instead i got some weird old coot who ran out and blocked traffic by standing in front of my car while he spit-shined my windshield with his sleeve (as if that helped any). I really don't think you should use such deceptive advertising practices, Xx. Just saying.

yes well from here on in, I'll no longer be buying your books from stores that have your name on the front signs. AND they mispelled your name as well!! I mean I was so excited when I saw a store in the middle of Times Square with your name on it, and it was so inviting! COME IN it said,
lots of XXX Books and movies! Who knew you were a cinema star as well. I pointed out to the manager that you were my friend, and that they spelled your name wrong, that its XxAxX, not XXX, but he didn't seem to care. I think you should address this with him right away. Furthermore, there were some scary customers there as well! apparently they don't know much about fashion because some of them..well you could see their pants didnt fit because they had fallen down to their ankles. I could tell because the dressing room curtains only went down to about their knees. Funny, I didn't see any of your books there....and the spelling of the titles they did have!!
"Come" was mispelled on each and every title.

I'm glad your here. the binding on my 29.95$ copy fell apart and the pages fluttered all over manhattan as if it were V-E day. I would like a refund please. and you also promised naughty bits, of which there were none. |

the binding is supposed to fall apart. it is a reminder of how transient life is, and how one must carpe the download while one can. as for the naughty bits, i'm copying and pasting bits of this thread right in. i think it flows nicely [Edited 11/23/10 8:55am] |
