Very cool car. I have had a 1979 Z28, 1996 Z28, 2001 SS. The SS ended up being a lemon.

My friends has this camaro:

1969CamaroSS.jpg

That looks like the '69 model...my first car was a '67.

I wish I could have kept it and restored it. sad

It is and was restored last year. There was some rust around the back window frame a couple bumps needed to be cleaned up and a new paint job to factory spects-She loves that car. She has owned that car since she was 16 years old.

Ooh, I saw that green one the other day, cool

Ooh the green was MY fav!!! I liked the blue.... though I am digging this slategray/blackish color.

(((Hey Chocolate!)))) Chica, what color is your car? Black or gray?

It's dark gray. They call it "Cyber Gray".

I looked at an orange one, but it seemed nicer when I saw someone else driving it on the road.

The green is a Special Edition called "Synergy". Didn't have that kind of money, although I love it!

Thank you, everyone! biggrin

I won't be buying shoes for a while.... neutral

Hey MajesticOne89... tease

lol

Do you still have the old one, too?

And isn´t it a bit insane in this day and age to drive a muscle car? lol I bet it uses A LOT of gas?

Looks great. A typical "teacher´s car". wink

( Just kidding.....usually, the stereotypical "teacher´s car" is a Volvo or Volkswagen or Saab).

Isn´t it a bit complicated to own such an old car? I´m thinking about new and stricter rules regarding emissions, higher insurance, costly spare parts etc.

Over here, you´d have to make sure that all parts are original parts and not replicas, otherwise you pay more taxes etc..

I´d love to buy a collectible car but the problem with vintage cars is that owning and driving one is really a bit complicated ( and costly) over here.

I wanted to keep the purple one, but it was kind of impractical. Plus, they actually gave me some money for it.

There is not feeling like driving a Camaro. I tell you when I have had a long day and get in that car, pop the t-tops, crank the radio and just drive........what a release. SO SO happy for you!!

I'm 43, single, with no kids. I refuse to bow to the "practical car" mentality.

While the soccer moms are schlepping in their minivans, I'm revvin' my engine at the light with thatt "sucks to be you" face. wink

No seriously- I work 5 minutes from my school, so I don't burn a lot of gas on a daily basis. Sometimes I don't fill up the tank for 2 weeks or so.

I live on both sides of this spectrum. I am a soccer mom w/ a mini van and was lucky enough to keep my baby. I think my tears at the dealership helped a lil in the convincing my hubby but he knows.......anyways my point my mini van and Camaro get pretty much same gas milage. I have a V6, not a V8. I'm sure that would make the difference. Hey and w/ a commute like yours HELL YES!!

highfive

My first car was an '88 Grand Am SE

I crashed & totaled it after about 2 years. (not my fault!)

A decade later I got a (used) 2000 Grand Am

It turmed out to be a lemon, so I traded it in for a family-friendly SUV.

sigh

Now that Pontiac is out of business...there's very little chance of me ever owning a Grand Am ever again.

There's always online...

Hopefully it would be in good shape... and finding parts could be a pain.
