Ohhh that sounds good !

It does. nod Although I may leave out the dried oregano. Do you prepare it the same as you described above? Add the extra ingredients before or after pounding?

Prepared exactly the same way. Extra ingredients added before pounding. nod

hmmm I actually have everything I need, other than the yogurt (which just isn't a favorite thing of mine - and I'm assuming you mean plain yogurt lol ). I even have a box of quart jars. May have to make a trip down to the store for some yogurt.

I use to do canning with my grandmother. We would can beets, and cucumbers (pickles),and she had grapes growing in her backyard so we would also make jelly. biggrin

I can almost any fruit my family gets in abundance. We have a lot of fruit trees in our back yard...and our neighbour gives us tons (and I mean TONS) of fruit! Like one time, we gave us to humongous trays of local strawberries. I froze some, but the rest I made into strawberry jam. And God, it was sooooo good! Especially with bannock or french donuts (beignets). I gave them away to my friends. One of my friend said she was personalizing the jar so her parents wouldn't go into it giggle

They looked something like this:

My mom and I used to make black raspberry jam many years ago, and can it. We haven't done it in many many years, but man, was that jam ever delicious! drool I should try making some again some time soon. Home made is always the best.

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
