Well, I followed the instructions from a numerology calculator, from a site I visited in the past, and tried it the same way today, and it worked both ways for me. Do you have a middle name? Did you include that too? I added my birthdate and added the numbers associated with the letters of my name, using the first, middle and last name, and it came out with the same number, as when I added my birthdate. I did this 2 months ago, and just did it again today, and both time, it worked and came out the same.

I don't know what to tell you. I didn't believe I would get the same number when I did the name portion, as when I calculated the birthdate, but I did. My number turned out to be "8".

I just found another site. Try the link below. It calculates your birthdate for you, but in this one, the destiny number is your "life path" number. It lets you know your "destiny (aka life path number), personality and soul urge numbers. Very interesting. They gave me a different destiny (life path) number than the other one.

From the calculator on the link below, it told me my destiny (life path) number is "5" and my name number is "7". I have to tell you that the number 5 always seems to appear in my life in many ways, so I have to agree with this one. Interesting to say the least, and I'm usually skeptic of these type things.

That is true for some people. Usually the Destiny and Life Path numbers are different. One of my friends has all sevens in her name and birthdate numbers. It all depends on what we have to Learn in this lifetime, and what our soul's Learned in past lives.

But one thing that always struck me was that Prince juxtaposed all manner of subjects, otherwise blush worthy to any other musician, effortlessly and with no sense of shame or embarassment whatsoever.
