Yes, we're having a heat wave, actually. But the cloudy, humid kind. It's not much fun. I went to the barber a week ago and had my longer do done. Then it got really hot and I went to the Turkish barber on the corner and he buzzed me. He's a sexy MF too. Dayum.

I love getting my hair cut. Is that creepy? There's something about having someone touching your head and neck like that, forget afterwards when it's already cut. We get a nice head and neck massage here too when we get it washed, all for $4.

It's comforting, right? In some really primitive way we really feel and need. Am I right? To have our heads touched like that. More than that though, I love it when my nephew comes and sits on the little shelf that's part of the headboard on our bed and messes with my hair or brushes it or grabs my head and kisses it (we say 'mankiew' in Thai or 'fut fut fut' like the way you see a baby and just wanna pinch their cheeks and kiss 'em and everything, just wanna eat those cute little suckers lol, 'cause they're too too cute). He's showing his affection and the older I get the more I appreciate it, that feeling like he subconsciously understands what I do in taking care of him, that I would die for him or do anything for him, and he's reciprocating that love.
