Whatcha tryin' to say, Sista can't be a fan of hockey. hmm

Seriously, big time fan and always have been. Of course my brothers and I got into it because we enjoyed seeing the throw downs as kids. boxing As time went one as we learned more about the game we got into. I'd say I go to bout' 20/26 games per season.

I feel ya. If i lived in a NHL hockey city i would probably be more into it myself if i went to a few games. There is minor league hockey in my city but come on, if i don't know the names of but

a few on the professional level why would i be interested in watching a bunch of unknowns in

the minors. lol

Yes the Hawks took it to the Flyers...Dustin set the tone and the Flyers could match their intensity..especially that 1st period....

Game 5 was Chicago 7 Philly 4. Philly kept chippin' away at Chicago's lead but they just couldn't match them last night. Game 6 is In Philadelphia on Wednesday and if needed (I don't think it will be) Game 7 will be in Chicago on Friday.

Go Blackhawks!!!!!!!

biggrin

This is so awesome!!!

Who knew that the Blackhawks would go from being so awful 3-4 years ago that their games wouldn't even be shown on T.V., to winning the Stanley Cup???

Once Rocky Wirtz bought the team, then they drafted Kane and Toews, the whole culture changed!

Then bringing in players like Hossa and Byfuglien, just balanced the team out even more.

I only wish my Dad was still here to see it.

What a team, what a season, and what a series! SOOO happy they finally did it. Can't wait for the parade tomorrow.

Just some clarifications...The Hawks DID suck big time just a few short years ago, all because Bill Wertz, the former, now deceased owner drove the team to the ground. Traded Jeremy Roenick, Chris Chelios, and other top players cause he refused to pay...also wouldn't play home games on tv, trying to force fans to go to the games. When he passed, his son Rocky Wertz took over and turned everything around FAST. Now I am glad to say Chicago, is once again, a hockey town!
