I.CANNOT.WAIT 81 Days

I LOVE True Blood but I really hope they stick to the third book of the series this time around.
What they did to the Maryanne story , that was only a minor part of the second book, on season 2 was beyond ludicrous. | |

So, because of NBJ I bought the first two books. I started one but haven't finished. I'll be going on vacation for a few weeks in June so I plan to read several of the books before the series come back.
But, I seriously hope the upcoming season is better than the last one cuz they were doing TOO many thangs.  | |

I've been looking at some of the plot lines (though trying to stay away from spoilers), and the one thing I worry about is whether the TON of characters they're about to introduce will convolute things too much. Seems potentially very exciting, but possibly somewhat chaotic. I am PUMPED, however, over Kevin Alejandro And Dennis O'Hare joining the cast! 
Also... the new Sam-Bill blood connection could be alternately fun and downright...  Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I think to some degree it has the potential to be a mess because AB has said that he's bringing some things from books 4 & 5 forward etc. AB's the man and all, but I've never seen the reasoning behind that. Season 1 had some lovely embellishments, but followed the basic structure/storyline of Book 1 and it was  wonderful
Season 2 kinda convoluted the storylines and I'll borrow the word you used, it was a bit chaotic. More characters does not necessarily mean better show, imho. I'm firmly planted in denial | |
