This is the guy that played the vampire in the pilot. He had darker hair than in the picture and looked very EMO. I'll never forget an elderly black man from the southern United States literally stopped in his tracks and watched me. It got creepy, so I said hello. He started to chuckle and goes,"You amaze me, young man. I ain't never seen nobody up north eat one of those." He could read my stupidity, and asked, "Do you know what that is?" 
He proceeded to explain it was a persimmon and suggested I might not be... "ready." 
Of course, my 23-year-old butt took that as a challenge (which he probably intended  ), and when I got back to my car and took a BIG bite, I almost died!
