CLASH OF THE TITANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://insidemovies.movie...-premiere/

Yes, it's another remake. But in this case, even die-hard fans of the original 'Clash of the Titans' -- and there were lots of them; the film was a box office hit -- have got to be excited about this high-tech do-over.

Helmed by 'The Incredible Hulk' director Louis Leterrier, the new 'Clash of the Titans' retells the Greek myth of Perseus's quest to save the Princess Andromeda. Though 1981's 'Clash' was groundbreaking at the time -- thanks to stop-motion animation by effects legend Ray Harryhausen -- technology has come far in the intervening years, giving fantasy guru Leterrier a host of new tools to retell this classic story.

he film's first trailer gives us a glimpse of loads of state-of-the-art eye candy. Behold the toppling statues! The great thatches of writhing snakes! The hideous kraken! If the trailer doesn't make you shudder and grab for a tub of popcorn, well...good God, man! What does it take?

Luddites take note: not all of the thrills are high-tech. Thanks to good old-fashioned genetics, Perseus (Sam Worthington, rocking a breastplate) and Andromeda (Alexa Davalos, in goddess white) are a sight to behold as well.

'Clash of the Titans' is set to hit theaters March 26, 2010.

Hellenic Polytheistic Reconstructionism (also Hellenic Reconstructionism) refers to various reconstructionist movements that revive ancient Greek religious practices, emerging since the 1990s. Since 1997 the movement in Greece has been institutionalized under the Supreme Council of Ethnikoi Hellenes. Polytheistic reconstructionism is not a religion itself, but is the methodology for re-establishing a historical polytheistic (or pre-Christian) religion in the modern world.

Hellenismos, or Hellenism, is the Hellenic religion, a traditional polytheistic religion and way of life, revolving around the Greek Gods, primarily focused on the Twelve Olympians, and embracing ancient Hellenic values and virtues.

I love stories about ancient Greek, Roman and especially Egyptian gods since I was a little girl. I still have a big picture of Artemis, (Diana) that I drew when I was 13.

I hope this isn't one of those flicks that's gonna sacrifice the story in favor of the CGI effects. sad

i went to the website

Hades has kidnapped Perseus' family and declared war on Zeus.

not even close the actual story so it's probably more about effects.

Although I still have mixed feelings about this "remake" (and I still would like to have seen at least a few olive-skin types in the lead cast), I have to admit to an increasing excitement the nearer it gets.

Any shots of Ralph Fiennes as Hades? That man is foine on his best days. Snow-white skin be damned, he could play Marcus Garvey, and I'd pay. smile

Though he had nothing to do with the original myth, I loved that addition! It'd be awesome to see what sort of mechanical owl they could come up with for this redux.

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

The trailer popped up on my AppleTV recently. I remember liking the original (plus, as a 13 year old watching hairy Harry Hamlin.....WET DREAMS), but the new one looks fanfuckingtastic!

...Or at least they could have made the guys look more regal. Instead, they look like ragged, surly Norse gods. confused And I'm worried that we still see no shots of Danny Huston as Posiedon. We see tons of day-glo ( purse ) Liam as Zeus, and instead of Posiedon, Fiennes' Hades seems to unleash some sort of underwater tidal wave in the trailer. That sucks.

Looks good overall, though. Medusa looks awesome, the kraken (even though they should have called him "Cetus") is more interesting this time around, and the darker pegasus reminds me more of the images we might see in ancient bronze work.
