What's so great about cats?

I always wanted a dog....they are like little kids. They like to cuddle up with you, play with you and they just want your attention.
Cats...they seem moody, bossy and it seems they want their own space most of the time. If you have a cat(s), what do you love about them? I love cats though...

anybody can get a dog to like them. making a cat your friend--that's an achievement.

I agree I think dogs want to be your friend. Cats decide if you are worth being their friend.

A pastor friend of mine once joked during a sermon that God made dogs to stroke our egos and help us appreciate how important and intelligent we are. And when that worked a bit too well, God later found it necessary to make cats... to put our egos back in check.

Which is why I love cats,,,,,they're not so easily pleased, and they'll make you go to hell and get back in a gypsy cab before you figure them out,,,dude, how could anybody hates that cats are just AS needy as dog, but unlike dogs they don't show it,,,,and on top of it, these lil' mofos play the old "reverse psychology" trick on you and make you think YOU're the one who needs 'em

The curiosity element is so adorable as well.

Cats are aloof, I love that about them. I like their, "I don't need you; you need me" attitude. They can be demanding, loud, shed all over your furniture/floor/carpets, but they are still darn loveable. When they brush up against you when you come home, or jump into your lap and start to purr and knead at you, it makes the frustrations that a cat can sometimes cause all worthwhile.
