I clearly suffer from mild OCD. I find it very hard to leave the house without worrying that everything has either been turned off or unplugged. I sometimes have to go back and check even on more than one occasion. Sometimes, I worry about something been on when Im out and about trying to relax. Am I alone on this or are others the same? What do you do to help you be calm about it?

i'm like that, but it's not because i'm OCD, it's because i'm absent-minded and often forget to do things like lock doors and switch things off.

I worry about leaving my flat iron plugged in. Even if I clearly remember plugging it in,it bothers me.

I drove home on my lunch break once to check. Of course it was unplugged.

My iron turns itself off after a time if you don't use it. So if you leave it plugged in it's no big deal.

You should get yourself an iron like that.

OMG, I was on transatlantic flight last year and fuck me running, I had left my passport and other paperwork in the carry on luggage stowed in the upper compartment. I have a bad habbit of needing to check my documents like ever 10 to 15 minutes when traveling to make sure they're on me, even when I know for sure they're where I placed them.
But I was in the window seat and had just returned from the toilet, and the woman and her husband who sat int he seats beside me were old and rather large, and I didn't want to ask them to get up yet again so I could check my passport and put it in my pocket so I could check it convieniently. So I decided to wait until they themselves needed to go to the toilet. THEY. NEVER. WENT.

I was a nervous wreck the entire time. I mean, I desperately needed to check my documents!!!!



Also, if a floor is checker patterned I habitually try to step on only one of the colors.


Oh shit, if I wake up at any time that ends in :33 like 06:33 am, I have to with until it turns 34 or else I refuse to get out of bed.

I'm like that, as well. I check the alarm clock to make sure it's programmed well like ten times - I'm not kidding - before actually turning the lights off.

It's always good to check. Better safe than sorry.

I am too. Many of the appliances have an automatic Shut-off (but not nearly enough of what I worry about do) and even then I don't fully trust them or myself (did I turn it off?)
