What part of the Bay do you live? Where do you shop? Where do you hang out? The clubs...record stores....clothing stores.....

I've never lived there, but I love visiting San Francisco. It's one of the prettiest and funnest cities I've ever seen, and the restaurants are fantastic. Plus, it's one of the few California cities that have interesting weather!

Is the Bay Area really more expensive than NYC? I heard that about San Francisco in particular.

nod Born, raised and have always lived in the SF Bay Area!!!!!

I was born in SF and moved to Hayward when I was 3 1/2 and have lived in various locations in Hayward ever since.

Hayward is the 6th largest city in the Bay Area and is right smack in the middle of the Bay Area.

View of the San Mateo bridge and SF Bay from the Hayward hills

Hayward City Hall

All Saints Church

Main Fire Station

View of the library building at Cal State Hayward (it's called Cal State East Bay now but I refuse to call it that) in the Hayward Hills.

View of San Francisco from the Hayward shoreline

View from the Hayward hills looking towards SF

With both my daughters playing competitive Soccer I am mostly traveling all around on weekends so I don't do as much as I used to like going to the Oakland Coliseum to watch A's games, go to SF, etc....so far last month and this month alone we have been to Reno, Elk Grove, Tracy and will be going to San Rafael for tournaments.

My wife has a lot of family in Oakland so when we have the time, we spend a lot of time in Oakland and make sure we got to SF at least two or three times a year since it is only about 1/2 hour away from our house on a normal Saturday or Sunday.

One bad thing about Hayward is traffic!!!! Since freeways 92 (to from San Mateo Bridge), 880, 580, and 238 all converge and or pass through Hayward, traffic absolutely sucks during rush hour.

If she moved there and made it, that's the surefire way to know your daughter just became a whore! lol A friend of mine had 3 roommates and they lived on one floor of a 3 story house in the Castro. They each paid $1700. Multiply that by each floor, which had the same rent and you are talking $15K a month for rent! faint

I haven't spent too much time in San Jose but it seems pretty cool there.

Moslty I go to either fly out of Mineta San Jose International Airport, or to the big pulga (flea market) there, or to the HP Pavillion (the Shark Tank!) to see a concert (seen Prince 4 times there) or show or a Sharks game.

I've been here most of my life. It's okay. I end up doing stuff in San Francisco though.
