i guess i've had some good moments lately.

over the weekend, someone told me they liked how enthusiastic i am about the things i like. it was a weird compliment, but a good one.

then today, i got some praise at work for doing some really complicated new tasks correctly. that was good AND shocking.

oh, and i just saw that ivy and tackam called me hot in another thread. that's good, shocking, and extremely generous!

just a little while ago, my cousin and his wife were here delivering some stuff from our trip to michigan last week. we were talking about my grandma and how she can be 'difficult' in her old age. i told him she used to be really cool when i was younger, he said, ummm, no, because when i was there she always made me feel kinda awkward. then he said - but it was always so much better when you were there, you made the trip to michigan so much more fun for the entire family

i really thought that was sweet

On Father's Day, my dad said to me "I couldn't have a better daughter if I was given one to program."

I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it. What an incredibly sweet thing to say to somebody. I don't feel deserving of it, but I sure do feel loved.
