FORT PIERCE, Fla. (March 3) - Authorities say a Florida woman called 911 three times after McDonald's employees told her they were out of McNuggets.

A police report said 27-year-old Fort Pierce resident Latreasa L. Goodman told authorities she paid for a 10-piece last week but was later informed the restaurant had run out.

She says she was refused a refund and told all sales were final. A cashier told police she offered Goodman a larger portion of different food for the same price, but Goodman became irate.

Police say Goodman was cited on a misuse of 911 charge. A current phone listing for Goodman couldn't be found.

A McDonald's spokesman says Goodman should have been given a refund, and she's being sent a gift card for a free meal.

I wouldn't call 911, but just start yelling that I saw a rat in the kitchen.

This reminds me about the time I saw the young kid at the counter, fight with a customer, fist fight and all! Seems that the customer had received the wrong order, and only had found out when he was all the way home, with 3 kids in tow. His kids didn't like what food was given to them, so the single dad of 3 had to come back for an exchange. He starts screaming at the kid at the counter, which was NOT the one who had given him the food in the first place. They start to argue and the customer grabs the kid by the shirt, kid jumps over the counter, and hits the customer! It was crazy...

Waste of time for the polic and the 911 dispatchers. Some time cooling her heels in a holding cell would do her good. McDonald's did what was reasonable, they shouldn't have felt they had to release a statement saying they could've tried harder IMO.

here the McDonalds offer a free meal if you complain that their garbage is inedible (A freegan in the dumpster was dismayed there was no food in it - reported in The Age newspaper supplement a few weeks back)

There are other ways to deal with it, instead of calling 911. When she placed that 911 call, and it got to the press, she made McDonald's look bad. She got her refund, and she was entitled to it, but I believe some heads is going to roll.

It wasn't that she called because they didn't have nuggets. It was because they wouldn't give her a refund when they ran out of nuggets.
I'd be pissed as well. Maybe not to the point of calling the police, but I would get rowdy in there, for sure
