Hmm I am American and I only drank hot tea in the morning in the winter, one cup of green tea was enough for me.
I used to drink homemade sweet iced tea though, in the summer.

Now that I live in the UK, the tea kettle is going all day when we have company over. They drink lots of hot tea here.

Cor, that makes me want to put the kettle on. In fact I will... I will put the kettle on!

IMO - tea never tastes as nice in other countries...

I usually have a mug of pomegranate green tea in the morning. (Can't handle coffee - the higher level of caffeine doesn't agree with me.) Sometimes in the summer, I'll have a glass of iced tea in the afternoon or at lunch. And I have a couple of herbal teas (I know - not really tea) that I like, too.

So I guess the short answer is, "yes" - some Americans do drink tea.

NO!

Dunking inevitably results in sloppy shit at the bottom of the cup.

Not if it's a quick one! Tea tends to be too wet without a rich tea to accompany it...

I drink tea all the time, but I'd never think twice about it being "good" or whatnot. neutral
