donate about half to the humane society. use the other half to set up and manage a charitable foundation and accept applications for small loans/grants to people who are in crisis

1. Say "Are you serious?!" 2. Say "Seriously?" 3. Say "Holy shit!" 4. Say "Oh my god! Thank you!" 5. Babble on a bit more. 6. Call my family and best friends. 7. Decide if there's anything I want to buy with some of the money. 8. Call my financial advisor. 9. Invest almost all (if not all) of it. 10. Go back to listening to Howard.

I could go travelling and buy some stuff i guess but as far as life changing.....not gonna be enough, weird because i was talking to a guy at work about exit strategies the other day and we are currently banking on needing a NET £5mil to make it viable..... shit but that is the way of the world, you can eat through 650k in no time. I don't know you mdiver but from the small amount i have seen on the org you seem like the sorta bloke that i would like to have a beer with and what not However there seems so much wrong with the quote above "buy stuff.. exit strategies... Net £5million.....viable....eat through 650k in no time... is that whole ethos some of the reason for the current economic shite that prevails Maybe i am being to idealistic and hippy like ? (which is sorta the direction i am happy with these days) Please dont take this as a personal attack hell i was an estate agent for 12 years and i wouldn't have bothered posting if i didn't think you were a good guy its probably more of just a personal musing on my part really Do we need to buy "stuff"and have £5million to exit and be happy? Depends what your life plan is and the reasons for it mate. I have 1 goal and 1 goal only, financial security for my family so i am in a position to be with them and see them grow .....I will not be an absent husband and father. I don't see what you said as an attack mate, different people have different goals and ideals. I work very hard and i am driven to succeed, i have always planned to be retired by 45 or 50 at the latest. I know why, i know how and the current glitch is something that will simply (IMHO) present me with slightly more of a challenge in making that happen. It won't stop me or make me change my goal. The security of me AND my employees will not be jeopardized by dumbasses making shit choices. Simple.

Live off the interest. 50k a year is not a bad salary if you don't try to live large. Plus I'd you work part time you can get enough to be very happy in life.
