Top Chef's Carla Hall...the most insanely unique, fun, funny, genuine & lovable person ever?

I am head over heels in love with this chick. I really don't watch much TV at all, but I couldn't take myself away from Bravo's Top Chef this season. I've always enjoyed the show, but no contestant has ever stolen my heart like Carla.

She's sweet, quirky and ridiculously talented. Her attitude towards competition and the art of cooking was so refreshing. She says and does everything from a place of love and respect yet never takes herself too seriously. She's one of the few reasons that reality tv and competition should exist. Someone give this woman her own show!

Anybody else digging her?

whenever one of these shows turns out an outspoken vegan or vegetarian chef (outspoken as in, they will actually refuse to cook with ingredients that they wouldn't eat), i will be their number one groupie. nod

Yeah, I could see your dilemma with this. There are some pretty graphic things that happen on these shows.

I absolutely LOVE her! lol She's hilarious and cute and incredibly corny touched

I hate that she didn't do the best, for the final challenge...I prefer when the underdog wins it

sad

I felt the same way. The thing is, the 2 issues that the judges had with her were the things that she modified based on her sous chef's suggestions. It's really too bad, cuz if she hadn't gotten flustered by the appetizer and gone with her original menu, she would've easily won.

she is the only reason i was able to get into watching this season... i like this show and when it first started i was on the fence if i was going to be able to get into it... then with her silliness it helped to add to the show and i think she was able to bring out some of the others as well.. i hate that she didn't go with her heart for the finale and do her thing... if she did i think she would have won it..

nod That and the live fish. I just have to turn it immediately. It makes me so angry when they take a great ingredient like squash or something and destroy it with adding meat.

She seems pretty funny. Was she just a contestant or is she a regular on some TV show?

I LOVE Carla! I was pissed as hell that she didn't win. At the beginning of the season I was like, who the heck is this chick??? But her personality and esp her dishes won me over. Her dishes during the one before the last at the New Orleans benefit...she made oyster stew...looked SOO good. One thing about Top Chef, is a lot of times the contestants make stuff that might look interesting, but I would never eat...but Carla's ALWAYS looked tasty.

Don't know if he continues Hell's Kitchen, it sure was way less good than Kitchen Nightmare giggle
