When they start having knowledge, time to take them off the tit! I'm a total advocate of breast feeding but give your five year old a fucking apple for godsakes! lol

Sorry, what?

I was asking her to clarify what grosses her out. Older kids nursing or breastfeeding in general.

Once a child can tell you how your milk tatse and which breast has more milk than oher it's time to wee them off the breast. On 20/20 the boy said his mom's milk tasted like vanilla ice cream and which side had more milk.

I think people find it hard to let go. They like the feeling of being close to the child like when they were more young children. I guess mothers like the giving and needed feeling.

Exactly. Since she allows it the child don't mind, but it's not good.

Breastfeeding's definitely the way to go when the kid is an infant. But when Junior is 8? Uh Uh. disbelief

mine too, one year is optimal, any longer and it isn't really of any benefit to the child. In fact some babies aren't eating properly yet if they are still on the boob all the time beyond that age.
My friend is still breasfeeding her 20 month old, and he is demanding boobie every 20 minutes or so, not for food, just for comfort, like when he hurts himself. She's really made things hard for herself. All this time she hasn't been wearing a bra, cause she would be putting it on and off all the time.

To me it seems the mom is addicted to it more than the kids. It's that need to feel needed. She needs to give it up and get over the fact that her kids are not babies anymore.
