Very sad news....

It saddens me to inform the org. that my friend Ruth, known on here as Paisley1710, passed away from liver failure on the 19th December, whilst in Lanzarote on holiday with her husband and daughter, she was 35.

Ruth was a lovely, bubbly, fun, caring, and generous girl, who always thought of others despite any problems of her own. I will really miss her. We all met up at Prince's 50th Birthday Boat Party in London, had a blast in Dublin and again at the Boat Party in November. She was bonkers about Prince, and loved Emancipation....

I'm sure you will all join me in sending condolences to her husband and lovely 13 year old daughter at this time...




This is one of the last posts Ruth made on the org. before leaving for Lanzarote..

My daughter has since told me she hopes she wishes she grows up to be like me as I want for nothing. All material things, and I do tell my daughter that THINGS do not bring you happiness, are a bonus after working for them.

The biggest prize of all is friends, family, health and being happy with what you have.

Thanks everyone, I didn't know Ruth for very long, but she was a little ray of sunshine... and once you met her you couldn't very easily forget her! It's been a complete shock to all her family, as it was very sudden, and she was far too young, vibrant and lovely for this to happen.... but I know her father, husband and daughter will really appreciate your kind words, thoughts and prayers.

Oh my goodness. This is horrible.

I am so sorry for your loss. I did not "know" her through particpation, but I am so sorry for "our" loss, too.

I met ruthie in dublin and despite the prince no-show i met two wonderful people, ruthie and jen. we wre just feloow orgers who had a similar passion in princes music that linked us as new friends. Ruthie was everything you would presume a purple person to be: witty, fun, vibrant, party person, and the truest number one fan of prince. her daughter even has the name paisley. She was kind and thoughtful.

Ruthie sent me a lovely bouquet of flowers to celebrate the end of my chemo, addressed to 'Mrs Princefan' so of course the delivery guy knocked on the door and asked me if i was mrs princefan - it was hilarious!

she was always supportive and funny with a huge aray of funny emails sent out to her friends, she definately got a kick out of the funny side of life.

Ruthie was a fervent member of the org.

she will be sorely missed by virtual friends and real life friends alike.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

Such a tragedy. Sometimes illness takes our beloved. To live, to have once lived. Love continues..
Her ending on this earth is still love somewhere else. I like too believe.
