And what I mean is, if you have "lotsa money" you have the freedom and opportunity to do so much for yourself, your family, your friends, and people you don't even know. That in it itself, IMO would be fulfilling and gratifying and would make me happy. I've always said that if I ever won the lottery, after I took care of "me and mines," I would watch the news for stories about people having hard times and show up the next day with a check. cloud9

when i've had minor windfalls in the past, i've always wanted to "share the wealth" and contribute to causes i believe in. if i can blow a hundred bucks at the wrecka stow, i can certainly put my money where my mouth is when it comes to supporting what i believe in. i didn't always used to feel this way, but as i get older, i guess i started understanding how this can be as gratifying as buying a pile of new clothes or something.

It's amazing how good you can feel doing something for someone who's really struggling. One year I had some tenants that were broke, broke, broke at Xmas so I asked my friends to help me "adopt" them for the holiday. We bought them food and toys for the kids and they were so appreciative. Eventually, I had to evict them but that wasn't really my point. lol

I would only want enough money to live comfortably, debt free. House, 2 cars, sailboat, College for the kids, retirement dough.

Anything beyond that I would share with extended family and orgers...
