As most know, I've been a huge Lost fan since day one. I always need a fantasy/sci fi element in the shows I watch and of course Lost has that in spades.

Are you still on season one? If you think that season is confusing...it only gets better/worse!

Who are your favourite characters? (Please don't say Jack razz)

I saw the final episode at first when i was 8, it scared the shit out of me and i ddidnt understand anything, but i was very fascinated and it changed my imagination forever.
I watched the reruns now and then, but was too scared sometimes.
When i finally was old enough too dare watching, it didnt run on swedish TV anymore, so i waited very long for the second season on DVD, that was very painfull.

the episode with leland and maddie and the white horse is the one that was the most traumatic for me. boxed

was that when he sucked her chin? eek

Fairly plain episode, although an interesting twist at the end.

You're lucky you're watching it on DVD, waiting SO long after the finale episodes was/still is torture! shake

This hiatus sucks!

Most avid Lost fans were Twin Peaks fans too, maybe you should give it a try?

Hehe, there's an Annie character on Lost in season 3 who mysteriously dissappears.

Really? He's been my favorite since we learned about his love story, which has always been more compelling than all of the other relationships put together. It also doesn't hurt that every episode featuring him has been excellent (including my favorite non-finale episodes of the last two seasons).

The first few episodes of season 3 are the worst. It seemed to have lost its direction. However, since that season's episode "Flashes Before Your Eyes," it has been outstanding! They've been answering questions consistently (while raising others, of course). As I suspected, the series was invigorated when they announced the end date, because you could see how everything is building towards the final answers. As much as I loved season 1, season 4 and the last 2/3 of season 3 are even better IMO.

The absolute mindfuck at the end of season 3 knocked me the f*ck out.

My only bitch about LOST is that they will NEVER answer everything. So many things will just be left to the imagination...like the numbers (though they were explained during the online game)

What mysteries would you like seen solved or explained? For me I am still curios as to who Henry Gale was and how he got to the island and why was he there. That could be an episode by itself.

That and who the bones in the cave belong to from Season One.

Well, that's not entirely true. I once thought that myself. They knew certain things. They also didn't show something just because if they put it out there they knew at least at the time what they were going for. I think overall the "what is going on" has been known for a while, but the how to get there isn't. Don't take me wrong, NOW they know...and very few know the end point. But they haven't always known how things would play out and have course corrected" many times...a few tidbits..

They didn't know what was in the hatch at the time they thought it up/shot it. The original idea was that it was tomorrow land or something like that. Obviously anything dealing with Desmond is new yet somehow now very intrinsic to the outcome/story telling

Ben was supposed to be a small side character for only 3 episodes. Well, we know how that turned out lol

I do not think the switch up of stroy telling was thought from the beginning. I don't think they knew they were going to flash forward. Now who knows what time frame we'll be in.

Obviously they didn't predict that Nikki and Paulo were going to be so very hated by the fans(I loved their episode) when at the same time someone like Juliet would be a good addition to the story (I'm telling you it's all about how you introduce a character)

The writers stike helped ZERO and also their whole scheduling of the show was wack-a doo during season 3. That 6 episode "pod" was an interesting plot device but was entirely unneeded as the scheduling gaffes from the last two seasons were pretty much fixed as ABC got back to their 9/4/9 schedule for most of the shows.

So I think most things are vetted out with the timelines and tent poles, but they do leave a lot up to the writers.

That's propably true. Maybe you could put a spoiler warning before your post, though?

I don't even know who the writers are. I used to think those two guys, whose names escape me, are the only writers? Or are they just producers? There are SO many little hints in EVERY episode, I cannot understand how someone who does not know the direction of the show himself, could write an episode.
