I don't speak Yiddish, but I have a friend who does, and apparently the book is even more enjoyable if you do. Chabon is not only a master of the English language, but he cleverly works in Yiddish words throughout. Just one more layer to this incredible book.

I read the Dutch translation, though, because the follow up of this book was one of my faves as a young adult and I own that one in a translation, so I got this as a translation too.

Another reason to get the Dutch translations is that it has a cover drawn by The Tjong Khing.

I must admit, I already finished KM Peyton days ago. I am currently reading Natsuo Kirino's 3rd English translation Real World.
