lol I remember the game where he basically called it quits. It was against the Rams and he came over the middle and someone blasted the shit outta him and he was basically done lol.

Yep..but u know, homeboy that one yesterday, he's got to eat a slice of humble pie. My man is a little caught up. Even in the interview after he just ran, he was a little short with the cat. he's got to get some grace I feel. I know he's young but that's no excuse. And somebody tell him to STOP looking at himself on the jumbotron! Damn. He's never seen himself in the mirror?!

Oh yeah, dude is cocky as fuck! But the thing is, he can be that way since there's NO ONE close to touching him yet. I dop't see him losing for at least another 4 years.

Venus & Serena Williams win the gold medal in doubles again! With Federer and Wawrinka winning gold yesterday, this has become my favorite doubles tournament ever!

The tennis was perfect! Everyone got something out of it. Nadal and Federer both managed to get Gold woot! James Blake might not have got a medal but his first win over Federer was a great achievement. Dementieva (an awesome athlete) finally got her big title. Safina was solid, Djokovic got a medal. Loved it.

Big congrats to Michael Phelps...The dude is amazing. Haven't seen anyone mention about Jamica's Usain Bolt. This cat ran a 9.69 in the 100 which was a world's record. But the main thing that blew my mind was the way the cat won. He pulled up, actually slowing down a good 20 meters before he got to the finish line. And he STILL was WAAAAY ahead of everybody else. He could have ran a 9.59 if he had ran full speed straight through, I think. He was so far ahead of everyone else, it was crazy. Even after he slowed down, he was still way ahead of everyone esle. The cat who got second place was so excited that he acted happier than Bolt did. Man, I've never seen a cat just destroy their compettion in track. In a 100 yrd dash even. This cat has serious speed. And is 6'5. If he goes to the NFL as a wide receiver, u could forget it. Nobody on the field could even begin to think about covering this cat. On ESPN, they mentioned what he would do if he went that route. The cat may not even like football.

I died laughing at Bolt's celebration. I love when athletes get crazy with it, but of course he was criticized for it by reporters. The 21 year old woman from Jamaica who won the other night was adorable. Jamaica is blowing away everyone in track.

I think that's ONE million.

http://www.cnbc.com/id/26047381

...and I had also heard somewhere that he had to be wearing Speedo for each gold in order to collect.

Sorry about that ~ the news guy said 12 and the co-anchor commented on the amount but I didn't check the story. I stand corrected! cool

Sure was. Ive heard some bad news today though. Team USA's LoLo Jones crashed into a hurdle during the 100m hurdles final and came in 7th place today. She was expected to win gold easily. Bummer. sad

Poor Lolo and Sanya. I was really rooting for them--especially Lolo. Too bad she tripped on the 9th (!) hurdle. She was almost there. She finished 7th in the 100m when she almost had gold.

And Sanya ran the best 320m in the field, then couldn't keep it up the last 80m and fell from the gold to the bronze in the 400m.

Tough.

I am really impressed by American hurdler David Oliver. He is built like a superhero and he just advanced to the 110m hurdle semis.

He's been blogging about his Beijing experience. http://davidoliverhurdles.blogspot.com/

Redeem Team is looking more like Dream Team, as they beat the fuck outta Spain 102-71. Notes on an e-card:

- Wade looks to be back to his normal baller self
- Bron can play D if he puts his mind to it
- If they play D like this, no one's gonna get within 15 points of these cats
- Redd is more athletic than I realized, he got up for an alley-oop
- The international officials are inconsistent as fuck with their calls
- Once the Redeemers get a big lead, these teams just lay down like bitches - they seem to only be able to play well as long as they have a lead or are close
- Gold = Guaranteed.

None of the other teams looks all that hot this year and everyone keeps talking about how the US will need to make their free throws/shoot better from 3/play better defense etc. when they get to the crux of the tournament. lol

The Ball Don't Lie live blog is dubbing this Wade 2.0 and from what I've seen I wouldn't disagree. He's looking to stuff everything and is jumping out of the building. Love the intensity. Great defense from D.Wade. I've even caught Melo playing some D at times. eek

These cats are motivated, and with no Larry Brown to tick them off, they should bring home the bacon.

Nope. Just the sprints. If he's clean, takes his gifts seriously and trains, and doesn't get injured - He's gonna be unbeatable for at LEAST 4 years.

I have to admit, I had no clue Benny was on juice. I just thought he was some phenom that rose up to challenge Carl.

And I can't include chicks because it's just not fair, and in terms of sprints - No one's better than this dude. Long distance? I'd roll with any runner from Kenya or Ethiopia lol.
