My Wonderful son in law Well the story is this:-
About 18 months ago he was diagnosed with cancer and told that he had 2 years to live at the most. He is 27. He had pains in his chest and went to hospital and they said that it was most probably a chest infection or blood clot and so put him on blood thinners and antibiotics. THEY DID NO TESTS WHATSOEVER!! - go figure. Well for six months he kept complaining of chest pains and that they were going down his arm and so the DR got fed up with it and sent him for a chest x-ray. Within a day they had him back and the cancer was bigger than a tennis ball and protruding through his chest wall! The cancer is called syanoval cancer and is rare. They immediately started him on chemo and after that radiation treatment - he went through hell. At the end of it the hospital basically told him to go home and die and they would make him as comfortable as possible. In between time my daughter - after the shock began to wear off - and on my advice got in touch with a solicitor because the cancer was very aggressive and the 6 months that they did nothing the cancer and would ultimately kill him and she has 3 little children to look after. Well after about 1 year they began to get expert advice on the legal proceedings and a Prof Grimer said that he would have operated on him and that the Dr who sent him home from the hospital was only a general surgeon and that he was the foremost surgeon on vascular cancer in Europe. I said - GET IN CONTACT WITH HIM THEN - LET HIM DO IT - The Solicitor got in contact with him and he got in contact with his Dr and my son in law had the operation over a month ago now and the cancer is OUT!! He had to have 2 ribs removed. The artery from the heart going to the arm out and replaced with a vein from his leg. His collarbone out and some muscles in his chest and they shaved - yes shaved his lung to get rid of a lesion. He had 76 staples across his chest and arm and countless stitches in his leg. He is now on the road to recovery and is outlook is very bright. He is a wonderful son in law, father and husband and I am so proud of him and love him to bits (this he knows) and he wants to get back to work by Xmas. Isn't he brave. I wanted to share this with you so you can see that sometimes in the pits of darkness there is always hope and love. Yeah you believe it would you! They said that he was too young to have a blood clot but put him on thinners anyway and sent him home!!  "I may not agree with what you say but I'll fight for your right to say it"

He's overcome a hell of a lot there and sounds like it continues... ...Sounds like you are all overcoming it in a very positive way... ..I hope this continues for you all... Really!

im so glad someone finally did something for ur son in law- and that ur daughter now has her husband- and their kids have their dad seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before   | |
