Hello all - some of you may remember that 2-1/2 years ago my downstairs neighbor intentionally set fire to the house we were living in (I was in the upstairs flat) and I lost most of my belongings. (I was coming off a job layoff and didn't have renters' insurance - there were so many here who extended such love and generosity to me that I am still humbled and thankful to this very day.)
After the case was thrown out once and appealed and I finally testifed on Feb. 25 of this year. She was found guilty by the jury and she was sentenced this week to 2 to 20 years in jail! I finally feel like some justice is being served and that I can get some closure on that time of my life.
So thank you, again, to all of you who kept me in your thoughts and prayers.

i'm not sure if "congratulations" is the right thing to say here, but i'm glad the right thing has been done and that it will bring you some closure.

i'm very happy that you have some closure. It's good that the court saw that she should be responsible for her actions.

Yaaaaay! I'm so glad this kook finally got what she had coming to her. Justice has definitely been served!

We discussed this yesterday, but BOOYAH! One of the rare times that justice prevailed in this fucked up country. About fucking time!
