BTW, what a NO CLASS way for Belicheat to leave the game...

Reminds me of the Detroit Pistons walking off the court when
MJ finally broke through...

OH, THANK GOD!!!!!

And, I love how Bellicheck slunked off the field before the last play. No class.

A class act would have stayed to congratulate Coughlin for playing an outstanding game.

His 18-1 season should have an asterisk.

I would have liked a few more points on the board, but otherwise, it doesn't get much better than this.

I went to a SuperBowl party across the lake from my dormroom on campus and I wish you could have been there. We're in South NJ, so naturally, we were voting for the Giants to go all the way. The 4th quarter was just amazing on so many accounts. Just the amount of energy in the room.

When the Giants got the ball back after that Patriot touchdown, I knew that I had to believe that they had enough time to get another point in there. It looked really iffy for a while, but when Eli got out of that really tight spot, I knew that they HAD to win after how much they perservered. Then Eli throws what could have been the easiest looking touchdown in SuperBowl history and the crowd I was with was just amazing. We were jumping and screaming. Someone came into the place we were in and said "you can hear the screaming all the way outside!"

After a while, it wasn't just seeing the Patriots fail. It was about cheering for the home team and seeing them get a win like no other. But Eli Manning was the true MVP of the game, the way he turned it around in the end.

I couldn't ask for better.

And I think the best part was running back across the lake to my dorm room and I could still hear the screaming where I left.

woot! GO GIANTS!! woot!
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

Double post...seems like we have two SB threads at the same time...
but I'm EXTREMELY happy for Archie Manning. After a great career
on a losing team, his two sons just won Back-to-Back Championships.

Karma.

Not necessarily trying to rain on the Giants parade, but the game clock had run down to zero, and Belichick did run out to congratulate Tom Coughlin before he was told that there was still one second left on the clock. There were troopers out on the field trying to get the Patriots and Giants players back on the sidelines, but Belichick shook Coughlin's hand before running off the field.

I thought the Giants were going to lose the game tonight before the game started but they showed my ass! I had to leave the room when I saw the Giants mess up some plays and when I came back, the Patriots scored but when Tyree grabbed that ball and then Eli threw the ball to Plaxico and he caught it, I was too thrilled and when they won, I jumped up and down like I won the lottery! I don't know if it was said but I'll say it now, CHEATERS NEVER WIN. The Patriots got theirs and got it in the end!!!!! Shit, I might go to the ticker tape parade in Manhattan on Tuesday! What a great night! GO GIANTS!!!!! excitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcitedexcited

For a game that spent its majority with almost no points being scored,
that was a pretty cool finish.

However, my biggest complaint is that, as a straight-up Puerto Rican,
I'm here in Chicago.
If I was in New York,
I 'd have a trash can in my hands right now, just about ready to send it sailing thru the air, right into an electronic appliance storefront window.
By this time tomorrow,
I'd be at the pawn shop, exchanging my new plasma TV for some quality smack money.

What a GAME!!!!

I'm not a big football fan, but I was invited to a superbowl party, so we went.

WOW!!!! What a great game!!! The Giants are incredible. I'm glad that they whooped those cocky Patriots. Serves 'em right anyway...for that whole cheating fiasco.

Now I'm a Giants fan.

Congratulations New York. It was close, but you were the better team, tonight.
