Okay! For the sake of educating others, and being a hunter myself:
http://www.agfc.com/hunting/

That's the link to Arkansas Game and Fish regulations.
There's no age limit in Arkansas for hunting. Over the age of 16, one must have a hunter safety class in order to be licensed. Under 16, one must accompanied by an adult to hunt.
Hunting bear requires a hunting license and permit.
No, I don't agree with a 5 year old shooting a bear.
I don't agree with anyone sitting on the animal for pictures.
I don't hunt anything I'm not going to eat, and bear meat isn't very good.
Everything in the video, was done within the Arkansas Game and Fish regs.
If you don't like hunting, don't look at videos of hunters! wink

How would gramps like it if someone shot the kid, sat on his corpse and grinned into the camera.

I dunno, I may be wrong but I thought hunting was a thing of the past. Especially with all the animal rights movements these days. My dad used to hunt deer and he said to me he could never do it again, that they are beautiful animals and it was wrong to hunt for fun.

If it's a means of surviving fine...but this was for fun and it disturbs me seeing this child proud of his kill....at age 5. I don't care what the laws are and if it was within the state regulations. Just my 2 cents.

I don't like seeing kids riding in the back of an open bed truck. It's legal, here in Arizona, although seat belts are required inside the vehicle. neutral

I have known and respected hunters in the past. those hunters that I respected would have never let a 5 year old hunt. They would have never been sitting in a tree stand waiting for an animal to walk by to shoot and kill it.

There are some decent respectful hunters out there that actually go out and HUNT and when they do kill something they eat it and use all of the animal.
It is a shame that this 5 year old will not grow up with those same hunting skills and values.

Well, I have to thank Former Boo Imago for at least warning us about the worms.

By the way, I am jamming to Jerry Jeff Walker right now.

Don't it make you wanna dance
Don't it make you wanna smile
When you're down, down, down in the country
Pick and sing awhile.

Oh yeah!

Stalking an animal and killing it for eating is hunting. Sitting in a hide with a rifle, whistling so the bear stops and then popping it is a fucking joke.
Still the fur will cover the holes in the trailer carpet i guess neutral
