He had asked my friend Jolene for the dish on me before I got there. He asked me 2 very interview-ish questions, then asked the bondage question, then showed me he had already started adding me to the schedule.

My cousin loves her barista job, but it's her first job, so she was mainly excited for that reason. She said they gave her a thick manual to study before hand though. I just wouldn't wanna have to be there at 5:30 in the morning.....getting the morning crowd.

i'm so jealous! i really want a job that's less desk-y/office-y and more customer service-y. only, like, i would rather have the retail thing be my main gig and then maybe do office temping every great once in a while. even if working with the public can make you insane, i still think it's a much better environment than in an office. but having both jobs will definitely have its perks - i think it will be a good balance for you, not to mention the extra bucks.

I've been working at Starbucks for 5 years

and I can say working at a coffee shop can be a really fun experience, even when its a facist-ass company like Starfucks
