I think women do. 90 percent of my surronding females always have their gas tanks close to E.(including me) 
i barely ahve enough time to sleep, let alone put gas in my car... Say it's just a dream...

When I saw the thread title, I thought this was about driving after taking the drug Ecstasy.

After the gauge hits half, it doesn't move, so I can't tell when I'm getting close to "E", therefore I tend to get gas at half a tank.  | |

I don't run out of gas anymore, but I used to a lot. Testing the limits of $1.65 worth of gas paid for with dimes & pennies.
But I still let it get to empty. I get about 320 miles per tank and I fill up after the odometer hits 300. My Legacy

Sometimes I drive until the gas light comes on. I guess the longest I've driven with the light on was 15 min. I wasn't deliberately stalling, but the drive from my house to a gas station took about 15 min.
